IRON MAN 3 Has Another Villain? General Zod Armor Confirmed?

More possible spoilers from this year's London Toy Fair Lego exhibits. This time there's evidence supporting previous rumors about General Zod's combat mode and another character in Iron Man 3 that Lego tries not to spoil but may have anyway.

First, let's address the Man of Steel portion of the article. Besides announcing Spoiler:[Tor-An]" as a potential Kryptonian sleeper agent on Earth, the LEGO exhibit at the London Toy Fair also features a set where there's a variation of General Zod wearing armor. Certainly makes sense as we saw Michael Shannon wearing a Krptonian suit similar to Superman's and a motion-capture suit, implying he'll be wearing something totally CGI at some point in the film as he's hinted at in the past.

Man of Steel follows the Last Son of Krypton on his epic journey to become mankind's shinning beacon of hope for a brighter future. With the beliefs and values instilled by his adoptive parents Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent, a young Clark (Henry Cavill) sets out to find his place in the world. But when the nefarious General Zodd (Michael Shannon) arrives on Earth, Clark will have to choose between being a normal human or Kal-el,son of Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and humanity's greatest protector and champion. Filmed in IMAX and shot in Vancouver, Chicago and Plano, Illinois, Man of Steel will be released on June 14, 2013 by Warner Bros. Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) with a screenplay by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) the Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception) produced feature film will surely be the summer blockbuster of 2013.

As for Iron Man 3, this one's a little more concrete I believe simply because LEGO is trying to omit information. It was just brought to my attention that this was previously posted so click here to read MarvelFreshman's article concerning the Iron Man 3 spoiler.

Treat this as rumor for now but definitely keep tucked a way in your brain as we inch closer to the release of more tv spots and trailers that will surely reveal more of Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel as we move along.

Based on Warren Ellis' Extremis storyline and following the box-office shattering events of Marvel's The Avengers, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) has become the target of global terrorist The Mandarin (Sir Ben Kingsley) who has secretly been the mastermind behind most of the tragedies in Tony's life. Isolated from his fellow Avengers, Tony will have to devise his most advanced armor yet if he hopes to save the woman he loves, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). Standing beside Tony as he takes on Mandarin's villainous allies and Ten Rings subordinates will be War Machine James Rhodey (Don Cheadle) who was conspicuously absent during the Chituari invasion in New York. Based on a screenplay by Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and Drew Pearce (Godzilla, Sherlock Holmes 3).

"an unnamed green figure with veins popping out of his face" sounds like Radioactive Man that was probably him in the trailer walking up to Happy Hogan on the floor. This sounds like they want to set up for Masters Of Evil.

TWO Words "Bad Ass"

At first I thought Iron Man had General Zod armor.

Wtf
MrSundayMovies - 1/23/2013, 6:01 AM
Zod armor, can't wait!
marvel72 - 1/23/2013, 6:15 AM
the mandarin armour might be something like what he wore during "acts of vengeance" when he took on wolverine.
MrReese - 1/23/2013, 6:19 AM
@Christuffer me 2 lmao
GUNSMITH - 1/23/2013, 6:50 AM
ZOD ARMOR IS AWESOME...
StarYeezus - 1/23/2013, 7:10 AM
@GuardianAngel As long as there's a clear hierarchy to the villains, that shouldn't be a problem. I'm more worried about CA:TWS's possible overabundance of main characters.
OptimusPrimeTime - 1/23/2013, 8:25 AM
If this is true, it has potential to be AWESOME, or be FLOP, a' la Spiderman 3.

I seriously doubt the FLOP side, though.

With that description, it is absolutely Radioactive Man. To what extent he'll be used or present in the film, who knows.

Radioactive Man, Aldrich Killian, James Badge Dale, Mandarain.

MyInnerDork - 1/23/2013, 8:26 AM
You do realize things in the LEGO world don't exactly mirror what happens in the movie, right?!

Take for instance that in one of the Marvel LEGO sets, an Iron Man figure came with the Loki getaway set in the truck. Iron Man wasn't even part of that in the movie.

In other words, STOP writing stuff like this because you have no clue what is direct from the movie and what's made specifically for a toy line.
DrDoom - 1/23/2013, 9:44 AM
But.... we already knew Radioactive Man was in Iron Man 3.

FirstAvenger - 1/23/2013, 9:49 AM
Haha, title was misleading but still cool.
Ocelot - 1/23/2013, 10:00 AM
@MyInnerDork agree, remember how it was reported that spiderman would be fighting SWAT team lizards during the final battle of the amazing spiderman because of the mega blocks toyset that was seen
TheAbomination - 1/23/2013, 10:02 AM
I knew it!! This basically confirms Radioactive Man!! Here comes Phase 2, bitches!!!
FightmasterNoel - 1/23/2013, 10:19 AM
This will be AWESOME! i cant wait for this year's movies.
Jollem - 1/23/2013, 10:21 AM

soberchimera - 1/23/2013, 10:40 AM
Well at least they kept Radioactive Man Chinese.
CharacterAssassin - 1/23/2013, 10:41 AM
@Gunsmith... I would loved to see "that" Zod Armor rather than the one Shannon is currently sporting in pics.
Jollem - 1/23/2013, 10:52 AM
if im 3 is a spidey 3 or im 2, it will probably still have rdjr.'s antics and therefore make some money
BasedThanos - 1/23/2013, 11:09 AM
Guys were not even sure it's Radioactive Man. It could be one of the extremis soldiers.
StSharp - 1/23/2013, 12:02 PM
Just because a toy line shows Zod wearing armor doesnt mean itll happen! Most likely it wont be the one you guys want. Look at all the toys theyve made of Iron Man, Batman, Spider-Man, ect, they all have different variations of costumes, even if it wasnt in the movie. So obviously this seems to be exactly what that might be.

And with Iron Man, just because a character is the villain doesnt exactly mean he'll be suiting up in the film. I mean Im sure Marvel didnt want to add too many characters like they did in Iron Man 2 (from all your lousy complaining) so I doubt theyll have another villain along side Mandarin.

And I think Iron Man 3 should really be the last and they should continue with Tony in Avengers.
ROBBEATZZZ - 1/23/2013, 12:12 PM
@MyInnerDork..from what i remember Lego's have been pretty spot on..form the Chituri, hawkeye/loki/ maria hill chase,to Hulk hellicarrier escape
brownbuffalo - 1/23/2013, 12:35 PM
That isn't Zod, that's Baron Karza from the Micronauts (Marvel's run)!
AmazingFantasy - 1/23/2013, 2:25 PM
Okay then.... Radioactive Man.
R888 - 1/23/2013, 2:52 PM
Freaking awesome :D Iron man 3 and Man of Steel freaking rule 2013
Maximus101 - 1/23/2013, 3:21 PM
Ya both these movies are going to be amazing and I can't wait to see them but come on star trek is where it's at people.
MisterMagurlypse - 1/23/2013, 4:37 PM
Great news for both flims! A little on edge about the villian count in IM3 but, I trust Marvel. They finally have an awesome thing going and they aren't going to mess it up. MOS is going to be incredible!! Bring it on!!
Ocelot - 1/23/2013, 5:34 PM
@fettastic that's how it was reported on here at the time and on other sites, also the green veined dude will probably end up being an extremis enhanced coldblood, dont think it will be radioactive man
eleven59 - 1/23/2013, 6:51 PM
Why is the mark 6 in the pic? That's not an official movie on location pic is it?
DrDoom - 1/23/2013, 7:01 PM
Just so everyone is aware, I'm pretty sure Marvel is going to avoid 'Spider-Man 3' syndrome with this movie. The Mandarin is a villain known for leading groups of fellow villains. In Spider-Man 3, we had several villains, all with different goals and desires. Here, Mandarin is going to be the driving force, with Coldblood and Firepower being merely assistants to Mandarin's goal (this was confirmed in an interview with James Badge Dale, playing Coldblood). As well, Aldrich Killian is working for the Mandarin, and Guy Pearce already said his role is relatively minor and he serves to move the plot forward, rather than having his own agenda that warps the direction of the story. Radioactive Man is the wild card, but something tells me he is going to only become Radioactive Man at the end, as a setup for future movies.
Namor - 1/24/2013, 3:57 AM
God, i can't wait to see Radioactive Man on the big screen! We got Zod, Radioactive Man, Mandarin, Silver Samuai, Thanos, Electro, Crossbones, Winter Soldier, and many more villians coming to big screen in future. Very exciting!

I can't wait till we got Ultron on record as coming to big screen! Hes the one villian i want to see most outta any villian in Marvel, DC, or anywhere!
DrDoom - 1/24/2013, 7:11 AM
@Namor

I'm also excited to see Radioactive Man. As long as they give him his hazmat suit. That's all I ask.
