Could The Allspark Return For TRANSFORMERS 4?

We know little at this point about the fourth installment of Michael Bay's Transformers other than the fact that it's not a reboot but the film will feature an entirely new cast. Now there's a rumor that the Allspark could make an implausible return.

Transformers 4 is not a reboot, all the events of the previous films are still intact but none of the original cast are returning. In fact, there was some discussion with a Hasbro representatives that even the Decepticons and Autobots could undergo some slight tweaks to their design. But the folks at TFW 2005 [via NPR] reckon that an item from the first Transformers film could be returning in the fourth Transformers outing. To summarize the info uncovered, there was a set-visit to Paramount and their props warehouse where a set decorator hinted that the cube could be seen in the next film.

Of course the Allspark was destroyed in the films and the residual energy passed to Sam (Shia LaBeuf) who then passed it on to Optimus Prime. But there's also the Reign of Starscream storyline in the tie-in comic books from IDW which focus on Decepticon efforts to build a new Allspark.

Keep this in the rumor bin for now, we'll have to wait and see whether this was an unintentional slip-up.

Who cares about this film
charlie2094 - 2/22/2013, 6:53 AM
Probably quite a lot of people. I for one, actually enjoy the films. No they're not going to win any awards, but they're big and fun with great action and soundtrack.
Shamo - 2/22/2013, 6:54 AM
more character development and focus on the transformers is all i ask for. i'm paying money to see the transformers, not the humans. and if Nemo, a movie about a fuccing fish, can make a billion dollars i see no reason why a movie about Transformers can.

REBOOT THIS SHIT! GIVE US A PROPER g1 ADAPTATION!
charlie2094 - 2/22/2013, 6:57 AM
@Shamo

Whilst I want that too, unless it was more animated, like Nemo, a Transformers film with just the Transformers, would be hugely expensive, the last alone cost almost 200 million. Plus, it wouldn't be as appealing for the average cinemagoer, without any human side to it. Have you tried the two recent games? They're really good and a set solely on and around Cybertron.
Shamo - 2/22/2013, 6:59 AM
screw G1. give me a Transformers Armada movie.
2gold - 2/22/2013, 7:00 AM
No more Shia was already a step in the right direction. Annoying prick that he is.
Shamo - 2/22/2013, 7:03 AM
@Charlie, i'm not saying you have remove all the humans. i'm simply saying give the Transformers more then just action scenes. make them full devoloped characters.

and i disagree with it not being as appeasing. people don't care if its a human or not on screen. thats what movies like Nemo, Toy Story, Wall-E and many other have proven. they only care if its a good movie.

it all comes down to building an emotional connection with the audience.
and nah, never tried the games. haven't really played much games in the past few years, i'll take a look though.

Jollem - 2/22/2013, 7:20 AM
after 2012, i'm all transformered out :)
charlie2094 - 2/22/2013, 7:27 AM
@Shamo

Ah I see, I misread, I apologise. I certainly do agree the Transformers themselves should be given some more character development and that they should be there for more than looking cool and blowing stuff up.

Whilst you named some very great films, even Pixar struggled making Cars connect and I just can't see Bay & Co even attempting to going in that direction. Unfortunately, what they already have has worked so well, they probably don't see a need to change. Yeah, definitely try the games, a lot of fun, large cast of characters, great action and multiplayer :)
JoeMomma29 - 2/22/2013, 7:32 AM
I hope they have these transformer in the movie!

Screw any and all Transformers other than G1...
MagnusAnimus - 2/22/2013, 8:27 AM
Michael Bay is a boss, I have an 118 IQ and find his the movies enjoyable, he does whatever he wants, he doesn't just direct to make other people happy, would you?(haters) He made the transformers, he wanted to, it isn't G1, it isn't Armada, it isn't Animated, its Bay, he is original, not a fan-slave copycat. Why would anyone want to sit and watch robots talk for two and a half hours? I'm certainly not paying $12 for the acting, it's the explosions, the amazing award winning sound effects, and the only hot girl in the movie, I mean seriously it's a movie with robots and military dudes, can I please get at least one hot chick. So haters can shut the F up until youve made a billion dollar franchise, and own two Ferrari's
raymondjordan34 - 2/22/2013, 8:52 AM
I actually enjoyed these films ROTF was a rough one to watch though. Oh and one more thing You do realize there are people out there who hate HOTROD right? I am one for example.
MagnusAnimus - 2/22/2013, 9:09 AM
No Rider isn't, nowhere did I force anything on anyone I'm just stating an opinion, like everyone else also, he thinks I'm saying he's dumb for not liking Bayhem, but I'm actually saying, that I'm intelligent, and I watch intelligent, thinking films, but I still like Bays mindless movies. Sometimes I just want tits and explosions, it's called variety, just like sometimes you want to eat junk food when you know it's not good for you. His money is a credit to his success. He's basically saying he's better than the millions of people that watch Bays films. I'm sure not all of his students are geniuses, I guess someone should just come in and tell him he sucks at what he does.
HongKongPooey - 2/22/2013, 9:22 AM
hope there's Pokemon in this film
Carl - 2/22/2013, 9:31 AM
lol this all spark has always been a sick joke, same with the matrix of leadership. [frick] michael bay
Greenlantern1417 - 2/22/2013, 10:25 AM
I find it very interesting that people who don't care about these films and outright comment that they suck and they're terrible, still read these articals and still clearly watch all the movies. Total hypocrites. If you don't like them then go make your own movies. Back up your opinions with something more than crying babies over spilled ice cream.

I got no love for Micheal Bay do to some really bad movies he's made, but I love the transformers films and lets not forget The Rock. That movie Rocks!!! No pun intended.

That is all.
Carl - 2/22/2013, 10:34 AM
lol 118 IQ isnt very high.

TheOneAboveAll - 2/22/2013, 10:52 AM
For comparison @Carl ,I have an IQ of 178 (averaged out of 5 different scored, with the highest being 185 and the lowest at 169)
Greenlantern1417 - 2/22/2013, 11:11 AM
Having a negative reaction and spouting out distaiin? I'm all for that. In fact I've comment on things that make me very angry, but when people actually just write, " wwwwwwhhhooooo ccccaaaarrrreeessss!", well, clearly a lot of people care, and that why we are all making the points we do. But writing "Who cares?" means you don't. That's not an opinion. Thats a question. And the answer is a lot of people clearly care.
Stumblin - 2/22/2013, 11:32 AM
Hell I'll watch this shit, I loved Transformers as a kid and these movies may not be the best representation that I'd like but they sure as hell entertain me. Wu-Tang.
MrNiklander - 2/22/2013, 11:41 AM
