Second Trailer For The Dark Knight Rises Debuting With Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows

If you needed another reason to go see Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, you got one. News has hit that the second trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will be making its debut with the film.

Not that people need it, but there is now another reason to check out Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. According to Batman-On-Film, via Cosmic Book News the second trailer for The Dark Knight Rises will be premiering with the movie. A Game of Shadows is set to hit theaters on December 16th, the same day as the IMAX release of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, which will feature the prologue to The Dark Knight Rises as well.



From Batman-On-Film:

BOF has been "unoffically" told that the second trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will be attached to SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS -- which is also a Warner Bros. film. SH2 is being released on December 16th. While this makes sense, I've got to wonder if they will actually release a trailer the same weekend as the "TDKR Prologue" which will allegedly will be show in front of IMAX screenings of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL. I'll post more info once it becomes available -- which should be shortly.

So until anything is official I would take this with a pinch of salt, but it looks like we could be getting the trailer and the prologue all on the same day.

The Dark Knight Rise stars Christian Bale, Garly Oldman, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and will be released on July 20, 2012

funny! after RDJ talked all that smack about TDK in 2008 when it broke Iron Man's $ale$ numbers. It's ironic that TDKR trailer will be debuting on a film of his, when TDKR will also be competing with The Avengers. Love 'em both tho!

that first trailer was beyond crap.
the trailer is basically telling the people who were going to watch the movie that the movie exists.

no way on this on this green earth would that trailer convince someone who was on the fence or was completely new to batman to watch that movie. rubbish!

When I saw the headline of a "second trailer" for TDKR, I inmediately that they just released the first trailer. But if that teaser trailer we got a while back is the "first" trailer, then this second trailer better be miles better.

Let's hope this is true, I've been looking forward to seeing more. Plus, I was going to see sherlock holmes anyway. 1st one was cool and Guy Ritchie's films are some of my favorites.

Looking forward to seeing it. The "teaser" was probably the worst trailer of any kind I have ever seen for any movie ever.

Anyone got any guesses on what we'll see in the trailer? I hope we'll get a Bane voiceover for the intro and some footage cause for as much as we think we've seen of him in set photos we really have very little idea how he's gonna look on film. I hope they go heavy on his character having some kind of mystic vibe or something, the only thing I'm worried about with this movie is that it'll get overly political, especially after so much critical praise was given to TDK for the Joker being a post-911 symbol/terrorist figure. I can't [frick]ing wait for the 16th tho! The only problem is which one I'm gonna see first and hopefully finding a theater opening both these movies on the same day!
