Variety has just broke the news that wrestler turned actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in talks to star in Brett Ratner's
Hercules. MGM is developing the movie and is looking to Johnson for box office pull. Johnson is currently starring in
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, and will be shooting the Michael Bay directed
Pain and Gain later this year.
The Screen play is being developed by Ryan Condal and will be based off of the graphic novel by Steve Moore titled
Hercules: The Thracian Wars. There has been no other casting news as of now, and there is also no word on when the film might be released. The movie will be produced by Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber and Jonathan Glickman with Peter Berg, Sarah Aubrey, and Barry Levine exec producing .Make sure you check CBM for the very latest regarding
