P862010 - 2/23/2012, 1:10 PM
Hercules was Samoan?
PaulRom - 2/23/2012, 1:15 PM
Pretty good choice. But this is Rat-ner who's directing.
marvel72 - 2/23/2012, 1:26 PM
the rock as black adam would be better.
ecksmanfan - 2/23/2012, 1:27 PM

SuperDude001 - 2/23/2012, 1:27 PM
Aw nonono. I do like the Rock, but not for Hercules!
Needs someone more C.Hemsworth-like.
theHuch - 2/23/2012, 1:29 PM
Are they still letting Ratner make movies? Is he going to come out and say that he slept with the Rock too?
MassExecutions - 2/23/2012, 1:30 PM
*Sigh*...I like the Rock. He has good screen presence and charisma. Why can't he be in more good movies?
ArmoredAsgardian - 2/23/2012, 1:33 PM
Brett Ratner AND The Rock as Hercules? [frick] no! I want Herc in Thor 2, not some goofy Rock movie.
HelaGood - 2/23/2012, 1:34 PM
seriously this is laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame!!
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 1:34 PM
A side from RUSH HOUR 1 and 2, has Ratner made any good movies?
HelaGood - 2/23/2012, 1:35 PM
Black Adam would be PERFECT!!! but hercules... sniff sniff... smells like utter shite!!
ArmoredAsgardian - 2/23/2012, 1:35 PM
I know they aren't talking about the Marvel Hercules.
HelaGood - 2/23/2012, 1:35 PM
@KNIGHT3000 the answer to your question is "HELL TO THE NO!"
P862010 - 2/23/2012, 1:36 PM
^i liked red dragon people just cant get over x3
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 1:36 PM
F#ckin musicals
HelaGood - 2/23/2012, 1:36 PM
@AsgardianGangsta youre right... they are talking Arnold "Hercules Goes Bananas" Scwarzeneggar Hercules
ThaMessenger07 - 2/23/2012, 1:37 PM
Joe Manganiello would be awesome as Hercules. He has a very Mediterranean look plus he would just need to put on about 10 pounds and he's be a beast!

HelaGood - 2/23/2012, 1:37 PM
Tower Heist was soooo lame too!!
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 1:38 PM
Ratner made RED DRAGON? That movie was SERIOUSLY overrated.
MassExecutions - 2/23/2012, 1:38 PM
@teabag - You get another lol. I heard Ratner was going to film in Greece, but there was too many fires and explosions even for him!
ThaMessenger07 - 2/23/2012, 1:40 PM
Also I thought Peter Berg was set to direct this?.....

Guess not
lntrn8 - 2/23/2012, 1:41 PM
not interested . . . black adam - yes!
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 1:42 PM
Ratner should try to stay away from action movies, he has lost his touch.

Like his appearance, his action in films these days seem half-assed.
AlexDeLarge87 - 2/23/2012, 1:42 PM
Hercules movie would be sweet but Ratner and The Rock ruins that idea.

Manganiello would be great Hercules. Kinda reminds me of Steve Reeves.

thedude2936 - 2/23/2012, 1:43 PM
when i think Hercules, The Rock doesnt come to mind...I actually cant see any actor today playing Hercules. But, hey, hopefully he does a good job
Gusto - 2/23/2012, 1:44 PM
It's like I'm looking in a mirror!
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 1:45 PM
Ratner probably is too distracted when making his films, which would explain why his movies are so half-assed. He can't decide if he is growing a beard or not, so he is sporting the "homeless" look.
AlexDeLarge87 - 2/23/2012, 1:45 PM
KNIGHT3000@ Red Dragon was just okey. I liked the 80s Manhunter movie more.
AlexDeLarge87 - 2/23/2012, 1:48 PM
Gotta admit thou Ralph Fiennes was badass one badass villain.
AlexDeLarge87 - 2/23/2012, 1:50 PM
^ Looks like im drunk again ;)
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 1:53 PM
AlexDeLarge87

Yea Fiennes is always good, even in movies I don't like, like Harry Potter.

What I didn't like about RED DRAGON(I actually call it the "TOOTH-FAIRY"), was just constant insinuation, and the lack of actuality/action/gore. A lot like SMALLVILLE season 10.
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 1:54 PM
AlexDeLarge87

Ratner SHINES in the "lack of" department. Its like HELLO! you make movies, if we wanted to insinuate EVERYTHING, we would buy the f#ckin book.
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 1:55 PM
AlexDeLarge87

80's MANHUNTER was so long ago, I barely remember it...
headlopper - 2/23/2012, 1:58 PM
@AlexDeLarge87- Steve Reeves was the man.

Rock's out of his league. Sorry.
DDD - 2/23/2012, 1:59 PM
THE ROCK is HAWAIIAN/AFRICAN AMERICAN, where
does THE RAT get GREEK outta all that???

Makes my head hurt! And my stomach churn!
KNIGHT3000 - 2/23/2012, 2:01 PM
AlexDeLarge87

Steve Reeves does look like Manganiello...
AlexDeLarge87 - 2/23/2012, 2:02 PM
True it lacked the horror element too which made The Silence of the Lambs so thrilling to watch.
DDD - 2/23/2012, 2:03 PM
HEADLOPPER@...

Yeah, STEVE REEVES was awesome and an excellent
thespian! THE ROCK.....not so much....
DDD - 2/23/2012, 2:04 PM
Hey, JOEY MAGS would make an excellent HERC!

He'd also make a great SAMPSON, the bible guy
not DOC.
AlexDeLarge87 - 2/23/2012, 2:10 PM
headlopper@ that he truelly was!

KNIGHT3000@ He would [frick]ing rock as Hercules!
Akercocke - 2/23/2012, 2:12 PM
Joe M. deserves the role. The Rock? c'mon!
headlopper - 2/23/2012, 2:15 PM
If any have read the 'The 12 Trials of Hercules' , you'd have a literary perspective on the subject.
It is very intense and emotionally arresting. (why the story's lasted so long) , and Dwayne- as cool as he is- doesn't have the acting chops for this role.

@DDD- Who's Joey Mags?
AlexDeLarge87 - 2/23/2012, 2:16 PM
KNIGHT3000@ If i remember right it was directed by Michael Mann and that main bad guy (dont remember his name) from Robocop 2 played Dolarhyde. I was probably ten years old back then when i saw it the first time and the dude gave me nightmares.
ThaMessenger07 - 2/23/2012, 2:23 PM
headlopper, Joe Manganiello, I posted a pic of him on the last page.
Hawksblueyes - 2/23/2012, 2:33 PM
I don't have any problem with the Rock as Herc. However, I haven't seen anybody mentioned that I think fits the part. WHoever does will be revealed whenever Marvel casts their version of Herc for a THOR or Avengers film.
