COMICS: DC Releases Francis Manapul's Reverse-Flash Designs Online

At the end of The Flash #17, fans got to take a look at the all new Reverse-Flash. Now DC has released Francis Manapul's new designs for the character for everyone to enjoy. Click here to check it out!

The Reverse-Flash is the character that sent DC's New 52 into motion. A lot of people had been wondering just when or if we might see the character pop up in any of DC's new series. That was answered at the end of The Flash #17, when Reverse-Flash made his debut. For those that haven't picked up the book yet, DC, via Comic Book Resources, has released Francis Manapul's deigns for the character. Check it out below.



While his debut in the New 52 was in Flash #17, the full blown Reverse-Flash story wont start until issue 20. While I, a huge Reverse-Flash fan, love the new design. It's just not the yellow from before. What do you think? Sound off your thoughts in the comments section below.

Thats really cool/different. Glad its something different then the normal yellow suit with red boots/gloves.

Def reminds me of Carnage from Spiderman, but thats a good thing! He looks way more menacing! Im a huge Flash and Professor Zoom fan but I love this redesign! The only thing that I really didnt like out of all the flashs rogues in the new 52 was that Mirror Master (Sam Scudder) is trapped in the mirror verse... Hopefully they bring in Evan McCulloch at some point and hes more accurate to pre-52 Mirror master...

They could at least try to make their costumes look somewhat realistic, I agree with Riddlemethis82 - Flash-Carnage.

Sad... I dont approve of the black unless they are somehow going to incorporate the "black flash" into his story. Flash-Carnage FTL

The design isn't terrible but I much preferred reverse flash as he was before. other than the backwards logo I don't really see what so "reverse" about it. There is a lot of black on it (the shape of the black parts are cool) but flash doesn't wear any black or it's opposite color white anywhere on that part of his body.

One thing The they might want to do is place the hearing the devices (the lightning bolt things on his mask) further back on his head so they lighting bolt hearing devices can't point in the opposite direction. As in the REVERSE direction.

All I can say is: IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT.

I REALLY Don't like the design. Not for the reverse flash. Another character sure, but not ZOOM. Manapul is getting WAY TOO MUCH creative freedom to do whatever the eff he wants on the flash.

Sometimes I really, REALLY hate the new52.

Plus it's monday so I'm cranky!

For me the reverse Flash costume looked like the adult Kid Flash costume.

Since we are speaking of which is better when it comes to the Flash - which do you think is the correct Flash symbol??

Option 1

Option 2


I don't want to whine or anything but I have noticed that some artists actually use Option 2 ....but I thought Option 1 was correct

Isn't drawing it the second way like drawing Superman shield backwards??

(Please tell me i'm not the only one that has noticed this)

alseo, it doesn't look like it's gonna be Thawne (not sure about spelling). it'll probably end up being that professor dude who was helping flash out in the beginning of the series and then (spoiler) went all evil-greedy and kinda vowed revenge on the whole flash-thwarting-his-plans thing.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Wouldn't it be cool if it ended up being Captain Cold? I mean, he has already been shown with the ability to slow down the Flash. What is more Reverse Flash than that?

We'd finally have a Reverse Flash that was more than just a fashion statement!
