Matthew McConaughey Expresses Interest In Starring In A Comic Book Movie

He's not Doctor Strange, but Interstellar star Matthew McConaughey is definitely open to starring in a comic book movie as long as it's the right character...hit the jump to listen to his opinions on the genre and what he needs to agree to sign up to this type of release.

Matthew McConaughey was recently among those said to be in the running for Doctor Strange, but it now appears as if Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch has landed that coveted role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As for whether or not the Interstellar actor and Dallas Buyers Club Academy Award winner is interested in a comic book movie, here's what he told IGN Movies

"It's not an area that I'm saying I wouldn't like to go. I don't know, it would have to be a script and a character that I found interesting and one where I can have a personal experience. I'm not thinking about a genre like, 'Oh, I really want to do this or I wouldn't want to do that'. If something finds me at the right time, turns me on, and if I can grab a hold of it, see it from the inside and get a feeling that, 'Oh, I've got a way I can do this that can be original.'"
