COMICS: DC Reveals Chris Burnham's BATMAN INCORPORATED #1 Cover

We don't have a lot of details on the direction of the Grant Morrison penned series in "The New 52" universe, but we DO have a very eye catching cover by Chris Burnham for the first issue which will be released in May.

The launch of Batman Incorporated #1 as a part of DC's "Second Wave" of titles will see a continuation of the story started by writer Grant Morrison before the events of Flashpoint. Set in the current DC Universe, most of the changes are said to be purely cosmetic, although it is expected to be at least somewhat new-reader friendly. In other news, it was also announced today that May will see the release of Scott Lobdell, Tom DeFalco and Brett Booth's Teen Titans Annual #1 and Jeff Lemire and Timothy Green II's Animal Man Annual #1.

I love Batman but DC should refrain releasing different Batman titles every month, it's so annoying.

... As far as the cover goes, will this be another story by Grant Morrison that I will have to go to youtube to understand?

I love Grant Morrisson's Batman stuff. I really, really do. Everything he's written, from "Arkham Asylum" to "Batman, Inc." (especially his run beginning with "Batman & Son") has really made me open my mind about what role Batman can play in the DCU. I, for one, am extremely excited about seeing his finale to the who storyline.

The style of art is too cartoony for my taste.

And I've never reported somebody before, but I really want to report sneezer for having a disgusting avatar. Too bad you can't report for avatars. His is just plain obnoxious.

Gee what else will DC try to crap out of Batman.
No more Bat titles PLEASE. I getting to a point of sick of Batman!

Look like a somewhat Simpson'ish version of the New52's Batman..

Love DC and enjoy the new 52...but Batman inc. is so stupid. A horrible concept. If anyone can be batman, what makes Bruce Wayne so special? it ruins the characters mythology.. imho
RobinNumbah6 - 2/7/2012, 9:11 PM
Yay!!
RobinNumbah6 - 2/7/2012, 9:12 PM
@Tevii I see your point of view, but I think it makes him more legendary, people are trying to copy him. It also helps him cover more ground, he's only human, ya know.

^ but he aspires to be more than just a man... stopped reading Batman when Wayne died and Inc came around...lost interest.

Batman is becoming like Wolverine- just how many books does he need to appear in every month? I think things were a lot better when we just had two Bat-books per month: Batman and Detective. With only two titles, it was a lot easier to keep the quality of the stories and the art up.

It's funny- everyone complained in the '90s about DC and Marvel printing way too many titles of its more popular characters. They print far more titles for far more characters today, and the overall quality has suffered greatly. There is a severe dilution of talent going on.

Almost has that 60's vibe

I now hate all batman titles. Talk about killing the character off this is how they did it. Too many bat titles. Batman now SUCKS!
There I said it DC, now go make other characters cool and quit focusing on your 3 lame characters(Bats,Wondie, and Supes). They've been done to death!
