Da [frick] is this.
blvdnoise - 5/21/2012, 2:40 PM
Don't care what anyone says.. I'll be among the firsts in line! Pumpmed!!
Nick56 - 5/21/2012, 2:40 PM
Ok poster, not the best, looks a little fanmade. However, it will still be the best film of the summer (and this is coming from someone who loved the Avengers and is a huge spider-man fan).
MovieGeekFreak - 5/21/2012, 2:40 PM
looks fan made to me...disappointing.
MovieMaster - 5/21/2012, 2:40 PM
I'm a massive Nolan and Batman fan and The Dark Knight Rises is at the top of my to-watch list but this is [frick]ing awful.
Knightrider - 5/21/2012, 2:40 PM
Where did you get this from? As much as I like it, I think that is the Batman from the TDK pic of him on the police car, and the background has been photoshopped too.

So calling fake until proven wrong
ClaireLannister2016 - 5/21/2012, 2:40 PM
Really? Really WB? After the great marketing campaign of TDK, THATS the best you could do. God TDKR marketing sucks
LucasMend - 5/21/2012, 2:41 PM
Looking forward to the movie, but this poster... where's the TDK posters creativity?
TheSkywalkingKnight - 5/21/2012, 2:42 PM
Has to be fake. Has to be
MovieMaster - 5/21/2012, 2:44 PM
It's official. I don't want to hear myself say that. *sniffle* Maybe somebody hacked their Facebook, right............. RIGHT!?!??!?!?
Mystery - 5/21/2012, 2:44 PM
it's...well, umm.. explosive?
Asterisk - 5/21/2012, 2:45 PM
Stop complaining. Jesus.
antonio - 5/21/2012, 2:45 PM
It's just the teaser poster with an image of TDK slapped in front of it and fire textures. HAS TO BE FAKE!!
Fogs - 5/21/2012, 2:45 PM
Nice, but

WHAT THE [frick] IS UP WITH THIS PERSPECTIVE? HE'S PLANKING?

Seriously, he's supposed to be in loco, right? The style is cool, but the perspective is bizarre!
GreenHalJordan - 5/21/2012, 2:46 PM
FAKE
TyJenn610 - 5/21/2012, 2:47 PM
It's official. It was released on the movie's official facebook page, and there was no mention there of it being fanmade.

It's an OK poster. Definitely has a fanmade quality to it, especially because it looks to be a couple of previously released pictures put together, but it gets the job done. There seem to be an awful lot of people worried for the quality of the movie because of the lackluster poster though, which is odd. The filmmaking and the marketing have nothing to do with each other pretty much. A "meh" poster doesn't mean it's going to be a "meh" movie.
Knightrider - 5/21/2012, 2:47 PM
Well it is on the Facebook page, so might be real. Either way, I do kinda like it, and really we are going to slag this off, when the Avengers posters left in the back light on all there posters.

Spider-Man is probably winning the poster awards thus far.
GuardianAngel - 5/21/2012, 2:48 PM
I am still pumped for this film, but the poster looks like a really bad fan-made attempt.
antonio - 5/21/2012, 2:48 PM
It's on the official TDKR FB page. UGH...
antonio - 5/21/2012, 2:49 PM
But, it still doesn't change the fact that this IS my most anticipated movie of the year.
dellamorte1872 - 5/21/2012, 2:49 PM
shit is pretty corny i think the negative fan rumbling msde NOLAN pull away from the fans a bit and is pissed everyone has figured out like 75% of his movie. he doesnt wanna give ANY MORE info to the audience. THE PUBLIC HAS GOTTEN CRAFTIER
PantherX - 5/21/2012, 2:49 PM
Now that's plain lazy.
DEADP0000L - 5/21/2012, 2:50 PM
why in every poster morgan freemen is last in the cast
Theodora - 5/21/2012, 2:50 PM
Hell yes!

Love that Anne Hathaway is credited before Tom Hardy!
dellamorte1872 - 5/21/2012, 2:50 PM
ITS A RE-DUB IMAGE OF TDK but with flames making the same bat symbol in the same EXACT style
Knightrider - 5/21/2012, 2:51 PM
@dellamorte1872 You have figured out 75% of the movie! Wow congrats, you probably know more than some of the cast and crew. So using Spider-man and Avengers as examples you must have known around 99% to 100% of their movies from what we got.

I think this will be the first of a wave of posters
MovieMaster - 5/21/2012, 2:52 PM
Look closely. It looks like the first teaser poster, BUT.........................................................................................................................................

It actually is.
antonio - 5/21/2012, 2:52 PM
This is about as lazy as The Avengers posters. Still, it hasn't appeared on TheDarkKnightRises.com yet.
TheSkywalkingKnight - 5/21/2012, 2:53 PM
I get what they're doing. It's pretty much TDK poster but with more destruction and Batman looking more sad (I guess), it's a nice idea but the entire thing reeks of laziness and the execution is terrible. It's feels like a crappy fan-made poster, no indication that this is the final film or anything like that.
andrewbrooks - 5/21/2012, 2:54 PM
@SaintSpidey67Re

couldn't agree with you more
Fogs - 5/21/2012, 2:54 PM
Movie's gonna be great, don't get me wrong.

But this poster is simply terribly finished!
BooYah - 5/21/2012, 2:55 PM
It looks cool to me. Some people just love to hate.
Greengo - 5/21/2012, 2:55 PM
Haters gonna hate.
Greengo - 5/21/2012, 2:55 PM
ditto boo yah

I like it
antonio - 5/21/2012, 2:55 PM
@IrishAvenger yes, this!!! The Bane poster had the tagline "The Legend Ends" at least.
Azrael725 - 5/21/2012, 2:55 PM
DAMN YOU BEAT ME! lol Anyways...the poster itself is awesome, but the image of Batman looks old to me, but idk. Otherwise cool poster.
Kingdork - 5/21/2012, 2:55 PM
What the [frick] is wrong with these big movie posters? First The Avengers now this? Movie will surely kick ass like The Avengers did, but damn...
P862010 - 5/21/2012, 2:56 PM
i could of made that

has to be fan made
Knightrider - 5/21/2012, 2:57 PM
@Just1Superguy I would say Spider-Man has had the best thus far, Avengers the worst, because as mush as this looks photoshopped, they have at least tweaked the lighting a little bit.

However believe this will be a first of many, get one with Bane and Catwoman within the week
TheSkywalkingKnight - 5/21/2012, 2:57 PM
Correction: The tiny little line at the very bottom say "The Legend Ends". Ugh!
MarkV - 5/21/2012, 2:57 PM
Some of the Avengers poster were just awful as well, so no surprise here.
santoanderson - 5/21/2012, 2:58 PM
I was really hoping this was fake....
antonio - 5/21/2012, 2:58 PM
If you're good at something, never do it for free." well, apparently the graphic designer here has done it for free.
AlexdoxA - 5/21/2012, 2:59 PM
This is clearly NOT the first teaser poster! IT HAS FIRE ON IT people!! and there is THE BATMAN!! Am I supposed to believe that someone can just change the colors of an old poster, and just "magically" add characters... and a cool slogan??!!
Knightrider - 5/21/2012, 3:00 PM
@antonio hahaha...However maybe it is the same person doing them all, wouldn't that be funny
Ghostfire - 5/21/2012, 3:01 PM
kewl! Also... I confirm Tea's comment!
batfan175 - 5/21/2012, 3:01 PM
Lots of people don't realise but the company working on TDK marketing campaign is in charge of the Amazing Spiderman this year and I don't know who is doing the marketing for TDKR. They've been fairly irregular in their marketing to say the least. This seems like an OK poster to me but what people also don't realise is how many fan posters have been made for this film before the film had even started filming. So there comes a point where all ideas have been used up. What is a company then supposed to d? And people keep yelling they want more so that leads to hasty marketing decisions, which leads to sub-par products being released.
SageMode - 5/21/2012, 3:01 PM
This deserves a LMAO
Supes17 - 5/21/2012, 3:01 PM
MEH.......
I ain't gonna lie, I can't be biased...
THIS POSTER IS LAME AS [frick]
