Tom Hardy Reveals A Clash Between Bane And Gordon In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Talking about the difference between their relationship in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Dark Knight Rises, here's what Tom Hardy had to say about a clash between him and Gary Oldman in the threequel.

Well, I guess we now know who puts Commissioner Gordon in the hospital! (as seen in the first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises) In an interview with Total Film at the Cannes Film Festival, it would appear that Tom Hardy has confirmed some sort of confrontation between the villainous Bane and Commissioner Jim Gordon in the highly anticipated finale to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.

"I spent my entire experience with Gary [on Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy] staring at him and not returning any lines because I think he's God. The second time [on The Dark Knight Rises] I was playing God, so I ignored him. Kicked him a bit, that kind of thing. Gary Oldman is one of my heroes, I did nothing but glean from him."


So, not a huge amount of detail here, but it definitely sounds as if we should expect to see the villain taking on more than just the Caped Crusader this July. The fact he compares Bane to God is also very interesting, especially as many fans have pieced together a theory that he imprisons Bruce Wayne/Batman at some point in The Dark Knight Rises. I hope Catwoman gets a fight with Bane, and that Nolan just doesn't use her to fight with Taila.

PS. Gordon's going to die in the movie. Him or Freeman.

About the headline, I think Bane will break Gordon's spine, maybe? Then [frick] up Wayne pretty good while he creates the clash between the classes.

Gordons mustache would totally annihilate bane anyway.

But yeah Hardy is right though,Gary Oldman is a superb actor and his casting is probably the best since Alfred and Joker.

I don't think this confirms bane's directly responsible, he just says he kicks him, not necessarily on camera though. That's a good way to get over being starstruck, just give your heros a kick instead of a hand shake, makes for a better story too d;-)

As far as the football talk... year of the Seahawk baby!!! (Stop right there B&Y, nothing outta you) d;-)

holy shit you still dont get that Bane can take off his mask but only for a while. He can eat and then put the mask back on. Also Hardy would kick your ass and is by no means fat.

The fanboy worship for Nolan reaches epic proportions. A very good filmmaker with the potential to be great. If he can ever figure out how to make a movie without so many glaring plot holes.

the obvious among them with the Veangers. the surrounding background from the walls to the utensils and the mother of all that is the one directly looking at the gang with a mean look in the eyes, lol
