COMICS: Possible Checklist For Marvel's Post AVENGERS VS. X-MEN Relaunch

Jeph Loeb back on a Marvel title...0_o ooookkk. Anyway, yes to the rumor team for Fantastic Four & Iron Man. Everybody else is good too but I wanna know who is going to write Uncanny X-Men??

IRON MAN - Kieron Gillen/Greg Land This excites me. I love his work on Journey into mystery. Tony Wilson as the God of Manchester is genius.

UNCANNY AVENGERS - Rick Remender/Jerome Opena

Could be good if they don't take any thoughts from the current Uncanny X-men series.

• CAPTAIN AMERICA - Rick Remender/John Romita Jr.

Cool but sad the other writer is getting replaced though.

• GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY - Brian Bendis

No.

• NOVA - Brian Bendis OR Jeph Loeb/Ed McGuiness

No. Hopefully Jeph Loeb/Ed MCGiness.

• AVENGERS - Jonathan Hickman/Esad Ribic

happy with most ,I will not BITCH OMG!!! and give them all a chance before I judge.

• UNCANNY AVENGERS - Rick Remender/Jerome Opena- Oh, yeah. I wasn't gonna get this, but this pairing is great.
• CAPTAIN AMERICA - Rick Remender/John Romita Jr.- Remender on anything is gold, but Romita doesn't work well on characters that aren't sweet level.
• WOLVERINE - Frank Cho- Art is a department Wolverine comics have been lacking in lately, so Cho is a huge plus, though I'm just hoping Loeb doesn't stay on this.
• IRON MAN - Kieron Gillen/Greg Land- Gillen on this sounds so fitting, but Land's gonna ruin it. Art hasn't been a plus in Iron Man comics for a while, considering how much I dislike Larocca. Gillen'll make this worth it, though.
• FANTASTIC FOUR - Matt Fraction/Salvador Larocca- Fraction'll fit this a tad better than he ended up fitting Iron Man in the long run, but, Larocca... Ew. :c
• UNTITLED BI-WEEKLY X-MEN BOOK - Brian Bendis/Stuart Immonen/Brandon Peterson/Lenil Yu- I don't mind Bendis. It's nice to see him separate from the Avengers for a while, so this might be good. Yu and Immonen and a definite plus.
• GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY - Brian Bendis- Look at my above comment. That, and I've always wanted to get into GotG.
• NOVA - Brian Bendis OR Jeph Loeb/Ed McGuiness- If it's Bendis, yes. If Loeb... Never.
• HULK AND THE AGENTS OF SMASH - Jeff Parker I have to find out more about this.
• AVENGERS ASSEMBLE - Mark Waid- Waid'll fix this up real well. I just dropped the book, so let's see if Waid'll make it worth picking up again.
• AVENGERS - Jonathan Hickman/Esad Ribic- YES, OMG, YESSS

i hope this doesn't mean rick remender has left uncanny x-force,if so i hope they replace him with someone like ed brubaker.

Romita Jnr artwork was, is and continues to be crap. Why does he get so much work, he draws everyone like they are Lego men, all very blocky.

Wish they would bring Tom Morgan, Keiran Dwyer or Steve Epting Back

Why do people hate Bendis? Did I miss something?

I met Loeb a couple years ago... BIGGEST JERK EVER!!!!! Plus, he totally ruined the work Millar did on The Ultimates.

I love Bendis, even though he can be too wordy some times (giant speech bubble for a one-page panel).

Bendis needs to go back to writing street level loner characters in their own books. He has a limited capability with large casts and the characterizations suffer and the plot has short-cummings all over. He is great focusing on the singular chronicle of grounded heroes. My undies are in a twist thinking about what he'll do to the cosmic side of marvel.

Loeb is a NEVER.

@Batmanmovie2012- How can you say No to Gillen? Journey into Mystery has been great. It was the best tie-in comic to Fear Itself and continues to explore fun ideas. Kieron will do wonderful on Iron Man. It'll probably become a very accessible book with Gillen behind it.

So stoked for NOVA!!! and I will prob be reading at least a few of these!! I wonder what avengers members will be used for each book??

Okay, real quick I am new here (though I have been visiting the site for a couple years now).

Also, while I have been following comics for 14-16 years now. I have to be honest that I am not all to familiar with all the geekdom of know the writers and artists (I know that must seem odd, but I have too many interests for my own damn good and know a lot of "this and that" of a lot of things).

.... Anyho, Why is Loeb so hated?

A lot of these titles really interest me. My problem is that I don't like buying Modern Marvel comics because I feel like I would be missing out on so many amazing stories, so I collect trade. Should I start buying marvel comics monthly or continue with trades?

or just subscribe, cheaper in the end.

For the life of me, I cannot understand the outpouring of love everyone seems to have for Rick Remender. I read the first two issues of his run on the Punisher and dropped the title immediately because I found it poorly writtrn and just plain boring. The last I heard of that title he had Frank Castle put apart by Daken and then stitched together and brought back to life like the Frankenstein monster. Luckily, I had long since stopped reading that title so I don't know if that's true but if it is that's some damn shitty writing.

Then recently I decided to give Remender another try and read Secret Avengers 21.1 and found it to be stupifyingly awful in every detail. So, Remender fans, please tell me what I am missing because The Avengers has been my favorite title since the 1960s and I want to look forward to it's future. Bendis may not have been perfect but his stories were never boring or stupid, something I cannot say about Remender so far. Help guys.

Still confused about Uncanny Avengers.... what's with the mind[fudge] of a title?

Thats the equivalent of having other comics renamed to The Spectacular Punisher, or The Daredevil: Earths Mightiest Hero, or even Man of Knight (Batman) or Detective Action Comics of Steel (Superman)

well, maybe a little exaggeration and grasping at straws... but still, im confused and a little taken aback and slightly betrayed by this new avengers title

I haven't been reading Avengers vs. X-men but if I may hazard a guess at "why Uncanny Avengers". The Beast has been both an X-man and an Avengers for yeas, Wolverine and now Storm have fairly recently become Avengers and Namor was an Avenger before he became an X-man so if you add maybe 2 more X-men to the fold you get the Uncanny Avengers. I'm probably crazy wrong but there's a guess for you.

Not seeing how this qualifies as a "relaunch". Looks like a lot of the same titles with some new titles mixed in and creative teams playing musical chairs. Thats about it.
