I saw the trailer when I went to see "Total Recall" and I was surprised that they finally decided to release it. It looks pretty good, but I still love the original 80s film. This better not be another "Reboot of Shame".

The only laughable part of this movie is North Korea invading and take over part of the US. They can't launch a rocket, they're leader is a dumbass, and they're military force is weak. These morons couldn't conquer Rhode Island.

Holy shit...that looks badass. And the cast is fantastic. Christ Hemsworth (My favorite male actor) and Adrianne Palicki....and then add in Isabel Lucas and Josh Hutcherson? Amazing. This is going to be a great movie (I hope).

I'm not really sure how to feel about this. I love the original and I want this one to be good but I have my doubts. Hemsworth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are both major pluses. Not a fan of Hutcherson but he's very C. Thomas Howell like in the fact that he's being put in good movies while not being the best actor so it all works out.

If the dad doesn't yell out "AVENGE ME!" before he's killed I'll be pissed! Lol, it looks like the old soldier won't fall in love with one of the young girls in this one which might be a good thing because it was a bit creepy in the original tbh. They're giving some actual character background before the whole invasion which is smart. This could be good.

North Korea being the invading force is a hell of a lot more plausible than Russia or Cuba. Did anyone play the video game Homefront? It made a North Korean invasion very plausible. The first step was a giant EMP to knock out all or most of the U.S.'s electronics. Second, they attacked at a time when the U.S. was in terrible financial conditions (similar to today). Today, China holds the majority of U.S. debt (that gives China some leverage over U.S.) and China also happens to be friends with North Korea. Its all fiction in the end but its not entirely unbelievable.

@damntree, nope! The original still sucks, but it was perfectly comprehensible by it's epoch, plus, at least we had John Milius on the screenplay! Now why a remake like this? It's just ridiculously outrageous and a waste of time.

This is about the stupidest idea for a movie I've ever seen. At least "Snakes on a Plane" was intentionally stupid for comedy's sake. But 1) North Korea could NEVER invade us like that. 2) That doesn't look a thing like Seattle or the Pacific Northwest. and 3) Real occupations suck and are not fodder for military fantasy. Americans don't understand that because we haven't had an invasion for 200 years. I'm sure all the Right-wing nutjobs are going to love this film.
