First :D
CherryBomb - 8/22/2012, 11:05 AM
Cool cool (:
I'm surprised, but I guess it would be cool if they brought him back as Vision.
SimyJo - 8/22/2012, 11:06 AM
Second! \o/
SimyJo - 8/22/2012, 11:07 AM
...and take out Coulsons wrinkles a bit, make him more androidy™.
Super12 - 8/22/2012, 11:08 AM
Heck yes. By the time Vision would come around (after ant-man, so who knows maybe 5 years?) seeing agent Coulson again will be one epic nostalgic blast to the past
Maximus101 - 8/22/2012, 11:10 AM
I'm not sure what to think about him being the vision.
BattlinMurdock - 8/22/2012, 11:10 AM
Um. Sure, I suppose.

I like Clark Gregg, but I think he served his purpose.

And let's not forget that he and Vision are now separate entities in the comics now, so, it sort of doesn't make sense for him to come back.
CherryBomb - 8/22/2012, 11:10 AM
If they're introducing Vision, then the least they could do is introduce Scarlet Witch! <3 ... please?
BattlinMurdock - 8/22/2012, 11:10 AM
It's like if Gwen Stacy died in the movies and came back as the Danger Room or something.
Batman27 - 8/22/2012, 11:11 AM
When are people just going to realize he's dead and he's not coming back. Move on!
Batman27 - 8/22/2012, 11:12 AM
By the way i absolutely loved The Avengers. He served his purpose move on!
BigEars - 8/22/2012, 11:13 AM
Please no... Coulson coming back would undermine his death, especially as it was shown 2 b the key reason y they united in the end... The fact that Coulson's blood managed 2 get on his cards can b just used 2 further show how Nick Fury is shady n manipulative... Let Coulson stay dead!
CaptainObvious - 8/22/2012, 11:16 AM
No. Bringing him back would cheapen the impact of his death. Besides, I don't need to see comic book movies using the same gimmick that comics do. Death should be permanent in these movies. Dead is dead. He's not coming back. Get over it.
evyllsummer - 8/22/2012, 11:16 AM
Whedon loves killing characters...ALMOST as much as bringing them back AFTER they have been killed...
FoxForce5 - 8/22/2012, 11:17 AM
Eh, if he were to come back, I still think I'd rather he wasn't The Vision but, whatever. Only time will tell...
SimyJo - 8/22/2012, 11:17 AM
I'm sure they've cgi-scanned Clark Gregg by now anyway.
Whether its his CGI head on an actor's body or fully CGI I don't mind. Just as long as he looks a little more androidy™ and less wrinked. (ie: less Clark Gregg in a swimming cap and cape).
iJackSparrow - 8/22/2012, 11:17 AM
@BattlinMurdock

Ultron uses the memories and knowledge of Fury's "good eye", the one who brought together the Earth's mightiest heroes to torn them apart. You need to remember that Vision as he exists in comics is impossible to bring out to the big screen. I'd even dare to say that this origin would be even better for Vision than "Wonder Man memories in the body of the first Human Torch".

By the way, still reading your script for Daredevil. Really powerful stuff.
hope420 - 8/22/2012, 11:19 AM
I think they should change the name of this site to Comicbookmoviepolls.com. ;)
greentag - 8/22/2012, 11:19 AM
Um, isn't the Vision Simon Williams' brain waves (deceased)?

Agent Coulson is a totally new character.

That's like making a totally different person Superman.

Stupid...
RexBlazer1 - 8/22/2012, 11:21 AM
Clark Gregg himself said that he wouldn't WANT to come back as Vision. He said he would prefer to be a wisecrack, and the Vision is not that.
95 - 8/22/2012, 11:24 AM
I'm all for it. Wouldn't complain. But I don't think it's a good idea. And it's highly unlikely that'll ever happen.
BattlinMurdock - 8/22/2012, 11:26 AM
@JackSparrow

Hey, thanks, man!
RunawaysHD - 8/22/2012, 11:26 AM
nah keep him dead, made the avengers a lot more emotional.
95 - 8/22/2012, 11:27 AM
Not "all for it" — I meant: I'd be fine with it.
GoILL - 8/22/2012, 11:28 AM
He should stay dead.
Carloshll726 - 8/22/2012, 11:29 AM
Bring on the Coulson/Vision!!! Yesss!!!
MarkV - 8/22/2012, 11:31 AM
He's bleedin' dead!

DanteSparda - 8/22/2012, 11:33 AM
Definitely maybe.
SimyJo - 8/22/2012, 11:38 AM
I'd like Vision to have at least a passing resemblance to Coulson, perhaps not BE Coulson, but the Android choose / be given his image for some reason.
TheGreatone0207 - 8/22/2012, 11:41 AM
Looks ok. But you gotta remove the wrinkles.
MrChuff - 8/22/2012, 11:42 AM
I was saying this to my good lady the other night.
It'd be cheesy as phuck to bring him back...BUT a Marvel film would feel odd without him knocking about somewhere (like Captain America did by not having him in Times Square).
Also, I've read the theories and how it could be explained how he didnt die really (Fury says "they called it" off-screen, Fury's history of bending the truth, you never see the body taken away, life-model decoys etc..) but it'd make the entire audience let out one massive collective groan.

I'm conflicted...not in a gay way.

For your S.H.I.E.L.D.
ellispart3 - 8/22/2012, 11:43 AM
sure..bring him back. and make him a catalyst for splitting the avengers from the government. Coulson was an amazing character, and his death ushered the unification of the avengers. His return as a science experiment would splinter the avengers and move them from S.H.I.E.L.D. I'd be up for that, along with making the vision one of the big bads for Avengers 2.
RamonSuarez - 8/22/2012, 11:45 AM
Dumbass fanboy idea.

Coulson is dead.

Ultron doesn't give a shit about him.

Let it rest.
superotherside - 8/22/2012, 11:46 AM
Doesn't matter either way to me.
Afro - 8/22/2012, 11:51 AM
At least introduce Hank to create Ultron before jumping straight to Vision.
sexfoodcomics - 8/22/2012, 11:52 AM
What I would love to see is concept art for how they would make Vision's costume work on film. Because that Dracula collar and cape will not translate at all.
Godzillafart - 8/22/2012, 11:57 AM
@blackandyellow: LOL! Awesome! Amazing what you can see in Hollywood fight scenes slowed down.
villain001 - 8/22/2012, 11:58 AM
he served his purpose and went out with a cause. There are 92135469879835165468479843516846984.512 other characters Marvel can introduce
Godzillafart - 8/22/2012, 11:59 AM
Uh oh! ciper sighed! This idea is officially dead! ;)

Like most things, it could be cool if done right. However, in my opinion, it should be Coulson living on, but his brain being the structure for the artificial brain of a Shield android. It shouldn't look like Coulson (although I appreciate the sculpture above, Vision shouldn't look like that IMO.

And finally, (sorry fanboys) Vision is one character that needs to look WAY different on the big screen.
marvel72 - 8/22/2012, 12:00 PM
this idea sucks, the vision is an android created by ultron why would anyone want to see coulson become the vision.

i thought people liked it when marvel studios kept to the source, coulson becoming the vision is not sticking to the source.
Godzillafart - 8/22/2012, 12:00 PM
Should NOT be Coulson living on, I meant.
GUNSMITH - 8/22/2012, 12:01 PM
BLACKANDYELLOW-I'M SURPRISED NOBODY HAS DONE A GIF OF A MOR CLOSE UP ON THIS GIF AND THEN CUTTING TO SOMEONE DOING A "DOGGY"
BattlinMurdock - 8/22/2012, 12:01 PM
...I am NOT watching Scar Jo's hair in that gif.
Godzillafart - 8/22/2012, 12:01 PM
@Marvel72: I'm with you to an extent, however, I'm OK with changes if done well in a way that makes sense. Let's face it, a lot of comic history is damn dumb and needs to be changed for the big screen.

BarnaclePete - 8/22/2012, 12:03 PM
I don't ever want to see Coulson ever again. They have Nick Fury and Maria Hill, both are serious characters in charge of Shield, but all the other Shield agents are jokes. I was never a fan of this character. Killing him was best thing they could have done. Never bring him back.
Gerrit - 8/22/2012, 12:03 PM
Amazing. The worst problem in the comics and fans want to plague the big screen with it too. Let dead people stay dead.
marvel72 - 8/22/2012, 12:07 PM
@ Godzillafart

i agree with some changes as well, but something as important as coulson becoming the vision is a no no.

coulson should either....

1.stay dead.

2.he was a life model decoy.
GoILL - 8/22/2012, 12:08 PM
@BattlinMurdock me neither.
SimyJo - 8/22/2012, 12:12 PM
@BattlinMurdoch;
"...I am NOT watching Scar Jo's hair in that gif".

Yeah, she really whipped that Russian viciously with her hair!, no wonder he's reeling back clutching his face in agony!.

...and yeah, the GIF is kinda a gay-test in retrospect. ^^
SKOne - 8/22/2012, 12:13 PM
I don't know if anyone realized it, but I'm pretty sure the Vision is going to be in the next round of films somewhere. With the comic book Invaders being left out of the first Captain America movie and the Android showing up at the Stark Expo, it pretty much guarantees the Vision will show up and have his comic book origin.
