COMICS: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700 Artwork And Details; MORBIUS Series Announced

Revealed at "The Amazing Spider-Man Panel" at the Fan Expo 2012 in Toronto, Canada, we have a few more intriguing details about this December's landmark issue #700 as well as a couple of variant covers for that and the announcement of a Morbius: The Living Vampire series.

Thanks to Marvel.com, we have a few more details about what to expect from this December's Amazing Spider-Man #700. According to writer Dan Slott, each of the issues leading up to the landmark isnstalment will be "a puzzle piece" to the story, with Avenging Spider-Man #15.1 reflecting the events of #700. For those worried that Marvel will kill off Peter Parker, there were seemingly no assurances made that that won't be happening, but "2013's gonna be a big year for Spider-Man," Axel Alonso told those in attendance. Worryingly, there was more talk of fans hating Dan Slott once they've read the issue, and it was revealed that the events of the issue will reflect why exactly he's sporting a new costume in Joe Quesada's Marvel NOW! promo image. It was also announced that this January will see the release of Morbius: The Living Vampire, a new ongoing series coming out in January written by Joe Keatinge and with art by Rich Elson.

I wonder if this new Morbius series is in response to I vampire by DC(which is getting great reviews by the way)?

Nowadays they are making a series of everything... it will be probably short-living anyway.

Doubt it will be but I really hope this is the end of Slott's run. His dialogue is so stilted and cheesy it's a chore to get through.

The only reason I think Dan would go into hiding is if #700 was another silent comic like Marvel did some years ago.....

i actually like morbius and Slott has really sold him well so i wouldn't mind picking up a series about him.

Either Alpha becoming Spidey,Aunt May dying, JONAH dying,or Spidey being revealed as a Skrull would probably be good reasons for Dan Slott to barricade his doors...lol
