COMICS: Scott Snyder And Jim Lee To Launch MAN OF STEEL Series In 2013?
Man of Steel won't be based on Zack Snyder's movie of the same name, but might just be a new addition to DC's "Superman" stable of comic books with the impressive creative team of Scott Snyder (Batman) and Jim Lee (Justice League).
Scott Snyder (Swamp Thing) has made no secret about wanting to pen a series starring Superman in the past, and a recent rumour which has surfaced via Bleeding Cool seemingly reveals that the critically acclaimed writer will finally be getting a chance to show fans his take on the iconic superhero. However, it won't be in the either the pages of Superman - which is set to be taken over by Red Hood and the Outlaws scribe Scott Lobdell - or Action Comics as Andy Diggle is reportedly being lined up to take over from Grant Morrison. Instead, DC are apparently planning to launch a new Man of Steel series which will coincide with Zack Snyder's big screen adaptation. This will more than likely form a part of the fourth or fifth wave of new titles in "The New 52". As exciting as it is to think of Snyder writing a series starring Superman, it will also come as good news to fans to learn that Jim Lee (All-Star Batman) is being lined up as artist.
