I don't like his armor in this, or really both the armors I remember from the ultimate universe.

That helmet just does not work...seen so many great alternate designs for Iron Man but they went with that armor?

The Ultimate Universe is a bit pointless these days. The whole idea was to cut out the backstory and tell fresh new tales for a new audience. Well, they have years of backstory now, have to explain where fan favourites like Wolverine, Peter Parker, Magneto and... well, pretty much all of the X-Men are, and the stories are just a bit of a muddy waffled mix of movie U and 616 now. But with all the best characters killed off.

In a nutshell; It's a bit shit.

I actually enjoy the ultimate universe. I completely agree with what jimoakley666 is saying, it definitely doesn't cut out backstory anymore but I enjoy seeing the alternate portrayals of different characters.

Big love for Miles Morales also.

The only thing I'm reading from the Marvel universe now is Ultimate Spider-man (one of my favorite books though). Marvel really needs to figure out what to do with its 616 & Ultimate story lines, because when young kids go see a black Nick Fury and a White Spider-Man in the movies, but then they go out to buy comics and find a white Nick Fury and a Black Spider-man, they'll just get confused.

As much as people may not have liked DC's "New 52", at the very least that set up a new story line that can be correlated to the movies (if we ever get any from DC that is!) "Marvel Now" seems to be a big shit show - people dying who have already died a dozen times before, multiple Cyclops, time travel, multiple Beasts, a Nightcrawler from another dimension, etc., etc., etc.; As much as I love the Marvel movies, their comics suck donkey right now.

Is it me or is the ultimate universe kinda fading away, all books have been meh since utimatum, I've dropped all of them but new spiderman.

this is the Mandarins first appearance in the Ultimate U? Weird.
See that's my prob with the ultimate U. They decided to reboot in a fresh way the marvel u. But what they did was rush to tell the same stories the 616 U did in a short time. They Blew their wad waaaaaay to soon. They should've taken their time.

I'm right there with you guys. I used to love the Ult. U, but it's history seems to be even more convoluted and confusing than the 616. I missed about a year of reading, and when I came back, I was completely lost. The only Ult. book I read now is Ult. Spider-Man...which is damn good. Miles is a great character.

This crab face ironman looks kinda cool haha. The only ultimate comics I enjoy is spiderman miles morales, its my favorite. Now if Marvel can do the same thing they did with spiderman(Not kill off the heros, but a fresh face, new villians, same concept, etc.) then I think the ultimate line-ups would be popular.

@Champ6, well Marvel has kind of fixed that. White Nick Fury's black son is the Nick Fury that will be seen interacting with the 616 characters. And of course the only ultimate comic I am enjoying now is Ultimate Spider-man. I agree this is what the ultimate universe should be fresh take like this.
