Someone please tell me...are Logan and Sabertooth really brothers??
Turtlestrong - 9/22/2012, 4:09 AM
I don't think so, I think it was made up or taken from a elseworld's comic for the movie.
BatmanCanFly - 9/22/2012, 4:19 AM
@bbarber2323

elessarundomiel2382 - 9/22/2012, 5:03 AM
@bbarber2323..........well if you've read ORIGIN and seen the movie. you'll know that they grew up together and were from the same biological father. Although Logan was raised by a different father
marvel72 - 9/22/2012, 5:10 AM
wolverine 313 cover is fantastic the interior art is nice as well.

as for wolverine & the x-men 17 terrible artwork for this particular issue.
DeadManDann - 9/22/2012, 5:19 AM
@BatmanCanFly

They're not stepbrothers. You're thinking of Dog, who isn't actually Sabretooth.
DeadManDann - 9/22/2012, 5:26 AM
Half-brothers, I meant.
toco89 - 9/22/2012, 5:50 AM

Ha1frican - 9/22/2012, 6:13 AM
@bbarber2323 no they aren't he has a half brother called Dog that is similar to sawtooth but they amalgamated them into 1 character for the film version
Ha1frican - 9/22/2012, 6:14 AM
*sabertooth [frick]ing autocorrect
BruceLeroy - 9/22/2012, 6:15 AM
Dat Doop.
Ha1frican - 9/22/2012, 6:17 AM
@batmancanfly they are half brothers with the same father and again it isn't Victor Creed but early on there was speculation that him and Dog were actually the same person but that was put to rest after they said they were bringing Dog back as a villain
Astro - 9/22/2012, 6:23 AM
Read Wolverine Origins! Epic Story.

Chris Claremont had meant for Sabretooth to be Wolverine's father, though this was disproved by subsequent writers. Claremont, when asked what he had intended to be the relationship between Wolverine and Sabretooth, stated:

"Father and son. That's why Sabretooth always considered Logan "sloppy seconds" to his "original" / "real deal." The other critical element in my presentation of their relationship was that, in their whole life, Logan has never defeated Sabretooth in a knock-down, drag-out, kill-or-be-killed berserker fight. By the same token, on every one of his birthdays, Sabretooth has always managed to find him, no matter where Logan was or what he was doing, and come within an inch of killing him. For no other reason than to remind him that he could."[5]

In Wolverine vol. 2 #42, genetic tests performed by S.H.I.E.L.D. confirmed that Sabretooth and Wolverine were not father and son.

An interviewer asked Paul Jenkins if Dog Logan, a character from Wolverine's early life, from the limited series Origin was Sabretooth. Paul Jenkins said he had not intended it to be him, but said he would not have a problem with another writer doing it later.[6][7] At the end of the miniseries Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine it is shown that Dog and Victor Creed are not the same person, as Dog is teleported from the turn of the 20th century to the present.[volume & issue needed]

@WeaponX2 ripped straight from the Marvel wiki i see. Thank you thats what i was referring to
weaponX2 - 9/22/2012, 6:42 AM
oh, and what the hell is a Doop?
weaponX2 - 9/22/2012, 6:47 AM
@Ha1frican yeah, I had read those books and knew that Sabretooth was always intended to be Logan's Father but the powers that be decided to change that and it turns out that they aren't related at all...although THEN they decided that there are TWO Sabretooths and that the one that we have been seeing all of these years is a clone of the original that was created by Mr.Sinister, and that the original Sabretooth IS actually Wolverine's father..so, yeah...I'm totally confused as to who he really is
Jollem - 9/22/2012, 7:57 AM
always like me some allred
RustyShackelford - 9/22/2012, 8:45 AM
I hate when people act like they know comics when they don't
beane2099 - 9/22/2012, 9:31 AM
I thought I knew what was up with Wolvverine, but .... yeah, I don't. I know Captain America was weapon I and Wolvie is Weapon X. But for some reason there were other Weapon X's like Sabretooth (what his augmentation???) and Dead Pool? Phantomex (awesome character) is Weapon XII Then there's something about Wolverine and Sabers being half bros, and then there's some dude named Romulus? And I think Jesus Christ was Weapon -X cause he came like waaay before Captain America. And someone had coffee with non dairy coffee creamer. Twinkies.
xstryker - 9/22/2012, 9:47 AM
Great call getting Allred for the Doop issue. Looking forward to finding out what he's there for.
Lightsplasher - 9/22/2012, 11:08 AM
Awaiting so much Wolverine vs X-Men ! I'm sure it's gonna be once again a perfect issue
bbarber2323 - 9/22/2012, 12:13 PM
Wow....thanks, I guess??? Lol...
Techinsane - 9/22/2012, 3:08 PM
After a blood test carried out on the Shield Helicarrier, it was proven that Victor Creed and James Howlett, are in fact not related. James, does however have a brother who has the same number of claws as he does.
Techinsane - 9/22/2012, 3:11 PM
James, parents were both human. Same for Victor's parents.
Techinsane - 9/22/2012, 3:13 PM
Weaponx2, glad I am not the only Logan die hard fan here.
mctrinket - 9/22/2012, 4:14 PM
Is Doop related to Wolverine too?
damntree - 9/22/2012, 10:38 PM
So, slimer joined the x-men?
jimoakley666 - 9/23/2012, 7:01 AM
I love how Allred draws Wolverine. Also, great to see him drawing DOOP again.
jimoakley666 - 9/23/2012, 7:06 AM
All that Wolverine and Sabretooth being related malarkey was dismissed in the early 90's. I think Larry Hama was writing it back then. Mark Silvestri was definitely on artwork duties. It was a big old story featuring Jubilee, Cable, Nick Fury, Albert & Elsie Dee and Sabretooth himself in the sewers below New York.

Cracking run, that.
