COMICS: New ACTION COMICS Creative Team Revealed; Superman To Get A New Suit?
It has been confirmed today by DC Comics that writer Andy Diggle (Daredevil) will be joined by Tony Daniel (Detective Comics) on art duties when the duo take over Action Comics from Grant Morrison as of next March's issue #18.
DC Comics have announced the new creative team of Action Comics; Andy Diggle and Tony Daniel. The former is perhaps best known for a VERY controversial run on Daredevil which didn't strike a chord with fans or critics at the time. However, his recent creator owned work has received far more positive buzz. Daniel meanwhile is stepping back from writing titles like Detective Comics and is instead focusing on his efforts as an artist. Below are comments from Diggle on his new job, as well as a first look at what appears to be a new look Superman! What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below.
"Even in an industry dominated by superheroes, Superman is THE superhero – the original and best - and I’m flattered, daunted and inspired in equal measure at being given the opportunity to build on such an incredible and historic legacy. The word 'iconic' is bandied around a lot in comics, but Superman defines the term. I’m excited to be working with Tony Daniel, whose artistic and storytelling skills will be bringing the world(s) of Superman to stunning visual life. Together we’ll be carving out spectacular new adventures that respect the past while redefining the future of the Man of Steel."
