DC Comics have announced the new creative team of Action Comics; Andy Diggle and Tony Daniel. The former is perhaps best known for a VERY controversial run on Daredevil which didn't strike a chord with fans or critics at the time. However, his recent creator owned work has received far more positive buzz. Daniel meanwhile is stepping back from writing titles like Detective Comics and is instead focusing on his efforts as an artist. Below are comments from Diggle on his new job, as well as a first look at what appears to be a new look Superman! What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below.

"Even in an industry dominated by superheroes, Superman is THE superhero – the original and best - and I’m flattered, daunted and inspired in equal measure at being given the opportunity to build on such an incredible and historic legacy. The word 'iconic' is bandied around a lot in comics, but Superman defines the term. I’m excited to be working with Tony Daniel, whose artistic and storytelling skills will be bringing the world(s) of Superman to stunning visual life. Together we’ll be carving out spectacular new adventures that respect the past while redefining the future of the Man of Steel."

So...the Tim Burton/Kevin Smith/Jon Peters Superman suit?
JDUKE25 - 10/10/2012, 9:30 AM
Suit looks pretty cool. Just wish they would lose the collar on the other suit.
word1one - 10/10/2012, 9:30 AM
The suit is an evil version of him or alternate version. Notice the red eyes and red sun?
JDUKE25 - 10/10/2012, 9:32 AM
Only thing I would change on this one is to make the S just a little bigger.
jimpinto24 - 10/10/2012, 9:34 AM
I like the art, and the outfit is pretty cool.
HavocPrime - 10/10/2012, 9:37 AM
Interesting, just hoping Superman's own title will get better as well. It's either that or wait for Snyder's Man of Steel title.
ohsoserious - 10/10/2012, 9:37 AM
Why is he giving us a heil hitler?
DrRockso - 10/10/2012, 9:38 AM

Sortis - 10/10/2012, 9:40 AM
because when I think Superman I think power armor...
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 10/10/2012, 9:40 AM
I like this uniform better. Superman didn't look right with a collar. The S needs to be larger, but I like this look. Actually looks a bit like Cavill's MOS uniform.
Bark4Soul - 10/10/2012, 9:42 AM
New 52 - part 2? lol...suit is better than the one he has now.
ohsoserious - 10/10/2012, 9:42 AM
@drRockso what's pure dog shit is the lack of your generic avatar
HeadPool420 - 10/10/2012, 9:44 AM
Cool armor! I shouldn't have watched American History X again the other day cause that pose reminds me of that movie! Bad Superman.
dadarkknight - 10/10/2012, 9:46 AM
This is the suit he had on at the end of Superman 0 when he was on Krypton. I do not think its permanent I thinks he just wears it on Krypton.
GUNSMITH - 10/10/2012, 9:46 AM
I LOVE THIS, ESPECIALLY THE COLLAR PART,OLDSCHOOL SUPERMAN WITHOUT THE DAMN COLLAR..I DESPISE THE "52" COLLAR...DESPISE
DarkGrifter - 10/10/2012, 9:49 AM
I like it but it's not something I'd want to see permanently (or whatever 'permanent' means in comic books :P)
Greengo - 10/10/2012, 9:50 AM
where's his [frick]ing underwear?
ohsoserious - 10/10/2012, 9:51 AM
Its the next graphic novel for superman its called Superman:Third Reich its like red son just with nazis instead of communists
Greengo - 10/10/2012, 9:52 AM
j/k looks cool
OdinsBeard - 10/10/2012, 9:53 AM
if you're going to use the black suit you gotta have the mullet too. or else it's not complete.
GoILL - 10/10/2012, 9:54 AM
That suit looks pretty good.
OdinsBeard - 10/10/2012, 9:55 AM
it does look pretty b.a. tho.
ohsoserious - 10/10/2012, 9:56 AM
@greengo his underware are on the inside like a normal person would wear cause honestly if a full grown man approached you with his underware on the outside of his clothes how serious would you take him?
Clayface27 - 10/10/2012, 9:58 AM
ALthough its decent...I still prefer the classic superman suit
Greengo - 10/10/2012, 10:01 AM
@YsoSerious: Why so serious?
GUNGRAVE1 - 10/10/2012, 10:08 AM
I like the suite I'll check out the first issue.
ohsoserious - 10/10/2012, 10:10 AM
First off I gotta let you know that line has been used before first by tebag and then again several other times second I'm just saying the undies on the outside needed to go they are a very odd thing for a superhero to be wearing over his tights. But who knows maybe they are coming back and they are just in the wash cause he has to wash the shit stains out
ellispart3 - 10/10/2012, 10:12 AM
improvement...definite improvement
niknik - 10/10/2012, 10:13 AM
Where's his arc reactor and unibeam???
xstryker - 10/10/2012, 10:18 AM
These guys get Superman... cuz they're from the streets. (Jon Peters joke)
Howardad - 10/10/2012, 10:19 AM
He has red eyes I think that hints at something
thunderforce - 10/10/2012, 10:19 AM
Looks like he has been hanging around with Batman too much .
DCjohnny - 10/10/2012, 10:19 AM
i think this is where it will be explained how superman end up in krypton and saw his biological parents (superman #0)
gurugeorge - 10/10/2012, 10:19 AM
Yeah it looks good, but it won't last.
Fortress - 10/10/2012, 10:27 AM
Its much better than the new 52 suit!
Greenlantern1417 - 10/10/2012, 10:29 AM
Looks like he's under a spell of sorts. Kinda when they had the two Supergirls. One had a black outfit kinda like this. But I will always think it's a mistake to take away the trunks. They are iconic. It's what makes the super hero image. Without them, he just looks like he's wearing pajamas.
Optimus83 - 10/10/2012, 10:37 AM
Black Suit Superman???. ...
HRDWYR - 10/10/2012, 10:50 AM
You should just leave icons alone.
rbfn04 - 10/10/2012, 10:57 AM
Only thing I'll say is: he looks much better without the high collar.
