Looks good. I haven't read a REALLY good Superman story since Superman Earth One Volume 2, although I have liked the last 2 issues of Action Comics.

lee bermejo is the man. His work on Joker, Luthor, and Batman: NOEL are absolutely incredible. Not to mention he pretty much undoubtedly inspired the Joker design for the Dark Knight.

There hasnt been any good superman comics since the new 52 sadly but I think this will be great. I'm also going to get Superman/Batman. Also if you have a tablet check out adventures of superman #1. It's great.

@InfiniteMonkey
I can see your point but personally thats what has always put batman and superman above certain other heroes, they dont kill.

I'll be disapointed if this new superman movie has him kill.

As for Neal Adams... man, has he lost his touch!

Adams barely tried...and considering it's an homage to his own work, it's sad how much it LACKS any dynamism.

Johnson got the shield wrong for a Golden Age shot. And both Adams and Johns got S's face wrong.

Bermejo's is very cool, except for how ill-fitting Superman's suit is. That's just weird.

Ordway just traced some older work of his...and I love Ordway, so that's disappointing.

Brett Booth - just not my style, but it's an homage to something I've seen before. Can't put my finger on it.

Jurgens - awesome. And I hate Death of S storyline, but that's a great shot.

Lopez - brilliant. Very retro. Beautifully done.

Timm - an homage to the '40s ani shorts is great, but the anatomy's all messed up -- and not in a way that makes it look cool. What is he, Liefield? Seriously, his forearm is facing the wrong direction -- go ahead and try to put your arm in that position. Yeesh.

Jim Lee - doesn't do a thing for me, but I get why people like his work. Never mind that he still hasn't figured out what's wrong w/his Superman outfit design...things most everyone else seem to fix. Bleh.

Love those covers from Ordway, Jurgens & Garcia Lopez but that Superman vs Lex by Bermejo is pure sick!
Snyder on Batman plus this! Can't wait on his take on Superman. Amen to DC comics!

Too bad Curt Swan is not still alive. His overall artwork may not have been the most exciting, but his Superman is still the frame of reference for me, especially during the 70's when Murphy Anderson was his inker and Kal's hair was a bit longer.
Overall disapointed with this. Was excited to see Adam's name, but he has drawn tons of way better Superman covers and occasional stories.
Liked Lopez and Lee the best. Ordway has also done tons of better Superman art, especially the characters at the bottom. Bernejo's work is just ugly to me. Great talent, but not what I want in a comic.
