Promising a realistic take on the iconic legendary character, Brett Ratner's take on the Hercules: The Thracian Wars graphic novel is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2014. With a cast which includes the likes of Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal and John Hurt, it certainly seems to have all the right ingredients to be a great summer blockbuster. However, it's leading man Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who is building hype for the movie with a series of production photos released via his Twitter account. Here's the latest...

Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend. Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

The more I hear about this movie the more it sounds like super SOFT, but isn't that what this producer is all about?

Look at how light the Rocks Skin tone has become. He doesn't even look half African American half Samoan in that pic. He's probably gonna look like Hercules with a light tan.

I really want to enjoy this movie, but I just can't picture the Rock as Hercules. Don't get me wrong, I actually think he is fine actor, but his look is so unavoidably the Rock. Hopefully when we finally get a look at his front it will change my mind, but at the moment, that is my main concern.

It would be hilarious if we never see Johnson's face in the movie, maybe just a close up or two of his eyes...

what do you think the chances that Rock actually took the time to learn some sort of accent for this movie. Every other actor in this film is from some part of Europe.

Suplezz is working in this film. His thumbprints are all over the background art, he is catapulting his career with the stunt work he is filming in this too. Furthermore, congrats to you if you can spot him in the pic, he's also an extra in this movie.
