John Debney's Iron Man 2 Musical Arrangment to Setup Captain America Movie

Marvel Studios is now micro-managing their film's musical arrangement, with a specific musical piece from 'Iron Man 2', and may be used to lay groundwork for the motifs of the 'Captain America' movie.

Blasting off with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, heavily in Iron Man 2, and soon to come with Thor & Captain America movies, Marvel Studios is fulfilling dreams with a masterplan that connects their heroes through their own independent adventures. And apparently Marvel is not only connecting their heroes, but the musical arrangement of their tentpole films.

Iron Man 2, which has reached a domestic total of $308,636,849, was composed by Academy award nominated John Debney. And in a rather old article where he talks candidly on what he's added to the "Iron Man" franchise, it is offhandedly said... "In another attempt at cross-pollination, Marvel is even using Debney's score in "Iron Man 2" to lay the groundwork for "Captain America: The First Avenger"

A Disney songwriter, Dick Sherman, who created the music for several theme park attractions, helped Debney to create a specific theme (which you can hear below) for Tony Stark's father (John Slattery) during the sequence at the Stark Expo, in 'Iron Man 2'. This theme would be included in the "Captain America" movie, which will feature a "1954" version of Howard Stark's (Dominic Cooper) Stark Expo.

DCMF - Though I'm not much of a fan of movie scores, I'm quite fond of how this musical piece puts me in mind of the opening to the 1966 "Captain America" animated series. ♫When Captain America throws his mighty shield♬. But I have reasons to believe that this piece will definitely come to play during the Expo & USO scenes, when our Star Spangled Avenger sings & perform across New York & Europe before hitting the battlefield. What do you think?
