Earlier this year, a rare trailer for the first Spider-Man movie was posted here on CBM (check it out HERE). The trailer featured some deleted and un-finished footage, including a snippet that showed Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker with Web-shooters. Well, if you thought that trailer was cool, check out these other two rare trailers for again, Spider-Man 1 and also for Spider-Man 3, which in particular, features unfinished and deleted footage from the third-installment in the Sam Raimi-directed series. Check out the trailers below!

I saw the SM3 trailer in 2006. I think it was leaked from Comic Con.
lapress - 11/4/2012, 11:08 AM
that Spider Man 3 trailer was epic!
DCjohnny - 11/4/2012, 11:15 AM
the 3rd one was dark and epic.... sad the movie was opposite to it....
EdgyOutsider - 11/4/2012, 11:16 AM
The teaser for Spider-Man was nothing more than just that. The trailer from Spider-Man 3 touches nothing on the trailers that followed it. The best part of that trailer was the origin of Venom.

@lapress: Not it's not.

I am a fan of the Raimi trilogy, I grew up on those movies. But, I still feel Marc Webb made a better movie. Despite the origin holding the film back, although I did like that version of the origin more.

The Spider-Man 3 trailer looks just like the actual trailer that was released for that movie, minus the finished CGI.
Nomis1800 - 11/4/2012, 11:47 AM
The one thing that TASM did very well was the webswinging. That was a lot better than in Raimi's trilogy.
jimpinto24 - 11/4/2012, 12:08 PM
Good stuff! Spider-Man & Spider-Man 2 were the best! Spider-Man 3 was a letdown.
soberchimera - 11/4/2012, 12:16 PM
Spider-Man 3 should have just been Hobgoblin and Venom. Sandman was completely unnecessary.
Godzillafart - 11/4/2012, 12:22 PM
So glad Raimi has left the franchise. Webb's take is better on all levels.

TASM Abridged Script

Good for a laugh
poop23 - 11/4/2012, 12:39 PM
@ Godzillafart... nope
Godzillafart - 11/4/2012, 12:44 PM
@poop23: yup.
lapress - 11/4/2012, 12:46 PM
@Lizard1
lizard was one dimensional compared to The Green Goblin. They took away the depth the lizard could of had by not mentioning his family.

Remember both, SM3 trailer was screened at COMIC CON 2006
IronSpider101 - 11/4/2012, 12:54 PM
Makes me wanna watch these movies again. Love 'em. They're actually good.
repulse93 - 11/4/2012, 12:55 PM
I'm not the only one who thought Venom's look in the 2006 Comic-Con trailer was scarier than the final film version right? Kind of wish they stuck with that.

And this is coming from someone who thought Spidey 3 was pretty good.
Knightrider - 11/4/2012, 1:01 PM
@BreakUBatman, that was actually pretty good.
novaprime - 11/4/2012, 1:04 PM

Wow, both were awesome. I'm wondering why they didn't use the line MJ said, "We have to forgive each other..." etc. Because I don't remember her saying that and that was actually one of my favorite lines in the trailers. SM3 while some don't like it, I thought it was pretty good. Not as good as SM2, but pretty good. Wish there was more development on Venom and less development on the stupid Sandman back story.
crazymarvelgurl95 - 11/4/2012, 1:20 PM
Ugh I miss that Spidey suit so much but cool trailers though.
FOOM - 11/4/2012, 1:31 PM
Godzillafart,

You're talking through your own flatulence there.
CBMFANATIC1988 - 11/4/2012, 1:47 PM

ANT FARM!

The Spider-Man 3 trailers make it look like such a legendary movie! You can even search the actual trailers on YouTube and they'll be just as great. I wish it shaped up to be as great as the trailers made them out to be :/
jumpingJellybeans - 11/4/2012, 2:47 PM
The SM3 one actually wasn't entirely shitty...
Bane2099 - 11/4/2012, 3:03 PM
i still remember the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man, when hes chasing the back robbers in the helicopter and webs them in between the World Trade Center Towers, that was an awesome way to introduce him and the film.
Kalel219 - 11/4/2012, 3:06 PM
Spider-man 3 > TASM
jarel93 - 11/4/2012, 3:19 PM
1:53 It was.
WeaponX7785 - 11/4/2012, 3:28 PM
Re: Soberchimera, Spiderman 3 didn't have the Hobgoblin in it. It had Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin. Personally I think they should have left Venom out if they were not going to do it right and give him the screen time he deserved.

I have yet to see a good Spider-man movie...Tasm was ok. Sometimes I think the cartoons do it better justice.
Cosmic1 - 11/4/2012, 3:57 PM
Anyone remember the first trailer for the first spider-man movie, it started with a bank robbery and then showed the theives escaping in helicopters and then there was a web between the twin towers of the WTC that caught the helicopters, as far as I know the footage was not used after 9/11.
Hulksmash77 - 11/4/2012, 3:59 PM
the advertisements on all of these videos are killing me
EdgyOutsider - 11/4/2012, 4:04 PM
lapress: Yes, The Lizard could've had his family in the film to give the audience more sympathy for the character. I will give you that. I will also go by saying that Green Goblin was a more audience engrossing villain. But, The Lizard was very well adapted in the movie. He's my all time favorite supervillain and I feel they did him justice.

But, still a villain doesn't make a whole movie. Sure, it helps make for a better movie, but it doesn't make the movie overall better. I stand by my opinion that for as much as I love the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, I still feel The Amazing Spider-Man is the better movie.
DarkArts - 11/4/2012, 4:17 PM
All of Raimi's Spider-Man films were better than Webb's ASM, even Spider-Man 3 was better.
Webb's was better than the 1970's TV series but Andrew Garfield was a really bad choice. He just occupies space and does nothing for the character. He was worse than Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Green Lantern.
