Catwoman may seem like a movie role that would be fun to play all round, but according to Anne Hathaway it was a great challenge (including her diet) which eventually all paid off with the experience of making the film with Christian Bale. Batman will be gracing the August cover of SFX Magazine which will have interviews with most of the cast involved in the upcoming blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises. Check out some quotes from Anne Hathaway's section.

The experience of working on the movie with Bale:
“I felt so lucky that most of my scenes were with Christian because he’s one of the world’s greatest actors and he and Chris do have a shorthand. They have such an ease working together that it helped me relax, especially in the early days. Here I am working with Christian Bale and Chris Nolan is directing me and Wally Pfister is lighting me and I’m in a catsuit. It was somewhat overwhelming. I think because Christian had been there for so long, he just was so calm, always quick to laugh and have a good time but at the same time was really serious about work. He set such a great example and it was just really easy to kind of fall in step.”

The experience of being an action star:
“It’s funny, the things that are so far outside the norm that you get used to, like doing flips and walking alongside Christian Bale, who’s dressed as Batman and I’m dressed as Catwoman… and we’re just talking like people do.”

STARRING:

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Michael Caine as Alfred
Gary Oldman as Commissioner Jim Gordon
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox
Tom Hardy as Bane
Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake
Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate
Josh Pence as Ra's Al Ghul

I cannot WAIT for this movie!

Ya know I understand that Nolan isn't into letting a JL universe taint his perfect bat-trilogy, but it's a shame we won't see more of this batman. Ideally, I wanna see WB roll out their plan for a build up to JL w/out rebooting batman. Introduce the new characters then reveal the new bats in a World Finest movie or JL movie and make him as close as possible to this batman audiences know, albeit with some changes here and there. I'm not interested in rebooting a character as awesome as this right away.

Overwhelmed? Well, I guess it WAS more intense than Disney's Princess Diaries. "Christian just has bigger balls than Miss Andrews, so I had to keep on my toes."

Keep learning your trade, Princess.

"I literally think about this film everyday."

We all do, obviously. Besides, I see a bigass billboard outside every time I leave home.

Great magazine cover of The Batman! Bale is a great actor, Batman/Bruce Wayne. He definitely earned his stripes as an Academy Award wining actor, I look forward to seeing TDKR is 3 weeks man time flies!

Given how much press Anne gets on this movie (like her interviews are always borderline company-line and upping the movie wholeheartedly) that I get this weird Robocop 2 vibe that should TDKR fail or be not as good as expected, she'll be the fall guy (er, girl) that takes the biggest hit since she's talked it up so much.

Its funny Bane didnt even grow in size originally when on Venom. It was a stupid gimmick when Bane became more brute then brain.

All venom did was increase your strength, stamina and tolerance to pain. Batman was on venom for a while to help him deal with a wave of crime.
DrainBamage - 6/28/2012, 7:58 AM
Time for a gravity check.

Since when is Christian Bale such a great actor? I mean let's face it, TDK was Ledger's movie, Bale just happened to be in it.

I'm not hating or anything, but hell, Clooney could've come back as Bats and TDK still would have been good...thanks to Ledger.

@BrainDamage

Stop....just stop....Bale as Batman in TDK was good. I unlike most people on here understood what he was saying. And heres my proof he was good as Bruce and Batman.

AS Bruce the scenes with Harvey Dent and Rachel in his lounge were awesome.

When he throws the party. Awesome

Drving the lambo and crashes . Awesome.

Now as Batman:

Catching Scarecrow

Talk on the roof with jim and dent.

Expliaing to Dent about Jokers henchmen (in my opinion sounds like Batman the most here)

Breaking into Maroni's club

Maroni interrogation

Joker Interrogation

Basically Every scene Batmans in. He did a great job.

Today, is the dark knight the only bale movie u seen?
JABBAtheAmerican - 6/28/2012, 8:42 AM
Foo foo?! That's how CMB censors the c world? Lol
sexfoodcomics - 6/28/2012, 9:14 AM
The title of the article needs to be changed. No where does she say she is overwhelmed by working with Christian Bale.
DrainBamage - 6/28/2012, 9:18 AM
I've seen The Fighter. Not bad, but for me, Amy Adams was the real breakout there.

He's had some decent roles. I liked him in The Machinist and Public Enemies. His best film, IMO, 3:10 To Yuma. But that could just be because i also love a good western.

Nonetheless, I haven't seen him give a performance worth all the pause that Hathaway's giving him. She makes him sound like Denzel or somebody.
DrainBamage - 6/28/2012, 9:20 AM
I meant to say all the praise, not 'pause.' Damn auto correct.
LeoKragg - 6/28/2012, 9:50 AM
I'm going to the earliest possible matinee showing in my (smallish) city and I know it's going to be jam-packed at 10:30 am. We're finally in the home stretch...a third Nolan Batman movie?!! I hope we're in store for something great.
Nubase - 6/28/2012, 12:16 PM
lets the haters hate, they are getting nervous now as the movie is just weeks away

Reviews for the movie are already hailing it as masterpiece and calling nolans best movie so far
bropous - 7/1/2012, 4:37 AM
You know, I try and try, but there is NOTHING about this movie that gets me jazzed. Not the villans, not the leaked plot, not seeing Bale again as Batman. NOTHING.

Just bring on the reboot, already!
Squaremaster - 10/9/2012, 8:59 AM
Everything about this franchise just screams EPIC!

Bruce's leap of faith was the most adrenaline pumping, emotionally draining scene I've ever experienced in cinema!

Nothing adapted from Marvel, DC or Darkhorse comes close.
