The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Thanks to @Marvel_Spider for the heads up.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Sally Field and Martin Sheen, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to hit theatres on July 3rd, 2012.

He even does the spidey fingers. Garfield seems to be perfect for the role.

GreyChaos13Zero - 4/9/2012, 2:48 PM

Curmudgeon - 4/9/2012, 2:49 PM
You can clearly tell this shot is just after his unmasking by the police (as seen in the full trailer.)
Spidey31 - 4/9/2012, 2:49 PM
secret origins inspired the movie huh? niceeeeeee

Bale keeps Batman's cowl on.

He is a PROFESSIONAL.
Boyle360 - 4/9/2012, 2:52 PM
Looks like the scene in the trailer where he's caught by the cops and they pull his mask off. He beats the crap out them without revealing his identity. BADASS.
NextHero08 - 4/9/2012, 2:52 PM
big ass head!
Ha1frican - 4/9/2012, 2:58 PM
That suit looks alot better here. My only problem with it is the material.
TheAmazingChrisReeve63 - 4/9/2012, 3:02 PM
Niiice. Can't wait. Wonder how Peter will get out of that mess, seeing that he was unmaksed by, I think, Capt. Gwen Stacy (in the trailer). That'll be interesting. :)

Stay EPIC, my friends!

That guy playing a teenager needs a haircut. I wonder who Spidey reveals his identity to in this movie.

Batman and Spiderman survived decades in comicbooks without revealing their identities to anyone...put them in a movie and they are shouting their identities from the rooftops (Batman to Vicki Vale, Alfred to his niece, Toby on the Subway, BaleMan to Katie, etc. Secret identities get no respect in Hollywood!).
Sweep - 4/9/2012, 3:20 PM
It looks like he thought there was a piano on top that taxi.
Christuffer - 4/9/2012, 3:23 PM
He's starting to look more like Spiderman now
TrueRedBlue - 4/9/2012, 3:28 PM
He looks great, both as Spider-Man and Peter. But quick question, why is he without a mask when he's on top of a car in what I'm guessing is a street? Hopefully people don't see him...
Ashes2Phoenix - 4/9/2012, 3:37 PM

HavocPrime - 4/9/2012, 4:12 PM
Can we get one spiderman film where he isn't maskless, or has it half ripped off?
darkmetal - 4/9/2012, 4:18 PM
It got real annoying in Raimis Spider-Man films when they constantly ripped off Spideys mask. It was either because they wanted the "star" to be seen more or because they felt the mask hid the emotion of the character in the big moments. Either way, it got really old, and laughable. Its obvious that trend is carried on in this movie. Why not just call the movie The Amazing Peter Parker.
LOL - 4/9/2012, 4:19 PM
Weren't there scores of people that didn't LIKE the first three films coz Parker's mask kept coming off??? -Just sayin'.
darkmetal - 4/9/2012, 4:21 PM
@ralfinader In every superhero film since Batman 1989, the hero reveals hid id to at least one person or at leat one person finds out.
MrReese - 4/9/2012, 4:24 PM
I second @bgg1175 comment Leave the [frick]in mask on FFS!!!!
Spidey31 - 4/9/2012, 4:25 PM
I think this was when Stacy tried to unmask him
headlopper - 4/9/2012, 4:26 PM
@bgg1175- Nice avatar. Screamin' for Vengeance. Great album. Electric Eye FTW!
darkmetal - 4/9/2012, 4:33 PM
@headlopper You should go to Wolfgang Vault. They have 1 Screaming, 2 Defenders and 2 Turbos audio concerts. And several Sabbath w/Ozzy.
Chris5241 - 4/9/2012, 4:35 PM
Awesome
Spidey31 - 4/9/2012, 4:59 PM
Isn't it so mind numbing, you hear about a reboot you hate it at first you get excited about then you wait for 2 years, and now it's so close you just can't [frick]ing wait
uRaLlLame - 4/9/2012, 5:19 PM
Dark Knight will shit all over this piece of crap and the avengers. Anyone that thinks otherwise is a [frick]ing retard!!!
CoolantTech - 4/9/2012, 5:23 PM

SLK - 4/9/2012, 5:26 PM
He keeps his hands like a faggot. If he wasn't unmasked I would've thought that there is a Kardashian sister in the suit. Garfield just once again proved that he is too glamourous and hipstered for this role.

This is how True-Spider-man did it:

InFamouslyCool - 4/9/2012, 5:51 PM
saw andrew walking with emma in the meatpacking district yesterday (sunday). it was almost cool seeing the new spiderman
NeoBaggins - 4/9/2012, 5:52 PM
@SLK Sick pic of SPIDER-MAN

@Tea That long neck Garfield pic reminds me of the most hideous scene in film to date from: JOHN CARPENTOR'S THE THING
GolfWangNGOD - 4/9/2012, 6:05 PM
Ok. Watch the international trailer on Youtube. It will show a shot of Spider-Man on a car( later screwing over the SWAT team) then it has a shot of him putting on his mask. I honestly don't think there going the Raimi route. Speaking of which, the villians face and Spidey's face were always exposed?( See Spiderman 1(Peter) Spiderman 2( Doc Ock and Peter) Spiderman 3 --well you get the idea Lol.
AUSSYACE - 4/9/2012, 8:31 PM
What's up NO MASK...
SuspenseSmith - 4/9/2012, 9:33 PM
No helmet, no mask, no purple shorts, no purple outfit... no one will notice...
