I have to admit that I've never seen the guy act but from what I've read about him I think that this would be a great casting choice for the character (even though I want to see Chris Pine in the role)

The best news here though IMO is the fact he's pretty much confirmed that we'll see Hawkeye in The Avengers!!! I was hoping that we would and the fact that we'll first see him in Thor has gotten me even more excited! :)

Bamf7: Thanks! Unfortunately I cant find a link to this story anywhere online but I went and bought a copy of Empire today (with the Iron Man cover) and couldnt believe the news when I read it! Its on page 125 if you want to look in the magazine without buying it, lol! :D

Yeah man, I know he's technically not an original Avenger...but he goes far enough back. Changes for a movie to make sense (within REASON) don't bother me like they bother some others.

But like ive said, he was ALWAYS gonna be in AVENGERS, even if its a cameo!

LEE: How is this guy a "kn*B"!?! Have you even seen him act? I just checked out some clips of him acting and he's actually pretty good! And the magazing definitely said Thor - thats what he must of told them! A cameo in Thor and a starring role in The Avengers!

He also looks the part as this picture I just made shows! :)

I guess I just never heard a word about it. A bunch of people said they WANTED Hawkeye in it, but there was never any word that the STUDIO actually wanted to do it.

As far as I know this is the first real bit of news about Hawkeye

First off;; Happy Thanksgiving everybody. This news makes my day. Hawkeye is such a screwy character you gotta love him.

Bamf----No, he's not an original character persay, but with the amount of years that the Avengers have been arround he may as well be. I could see any of the first characters up through The Vision being in the first Avengers movie.

Black Panther
Hawkeye
Scarlet Witch
Hercules
Quicksilver

Any one of them could work, but Hawkeye is the Avengers wildcard. He's the one that will be the first to deviate from the plan that isn't working, usually with good results.

Ive been going on for over 6 MONTHS HAWKEYE was gonna have a cameo IN iron man 2 or AVENGERS lol! It was obvious, just like ive been going on about FRESHMANS AVENGERS news (fingers crossed), an i was right about about the SLIVER SURFER spin off too, lol.


Dont get me wrong its fantastic news @ josh, BUT tylers PUT ME OFF THAT GUY FOR LIFE LOL!

ACKLES is born for the role of HAWKEYE!!!

This Dude was in: S.W.A.T.,28 weeks later,Lords of Dogtown,The Hurt Locker,and Assassination of Jesse James.And he "has made a career out of playing charismatic anti-heroes", perfect for Hawkeye. But he's a little too old,he's 38,unless they're going the aging soldier route(like Blonsky in Incredible Hulk).
But now I kinda want Ackles for Hawkeye now(Dammit LEEE!)

Oh and while I was on IMBD they're were a couple people suggesting Renner for Cap.

WOAH!!! That's DAMN GOOD news!!! Hawkeye is Avengers' Wolverine so i'm damn happy about this! And even better yet, i loved Renner from the time he was in "National Lampoon's Senior Trip"!!! The guy's amazing and perfect for Hawkeye :))

This also means that we are a hell of a lot closer to getting JENSEN ACKLES FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!!
