Rumors of this epic pairing surfaced a few days ago and now we have the sweet confirmation. Not only is The Avengers earning an avalanche of fantastic reviews, but now moviegoers will have a another reason to go see the film, a new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. This might be too much for fans to take. The thought of watching new footage of Bane and Hulk in one sitting is just so much win. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. I would also add that with this news there is no way that The Avengers won't break the opening day record set by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

As for what will be shown in the new Dark Knight Rises trailer is anyone's guess, but the current rumor is that it will focus primarily on Anne Hathaway's Catwoman. So, chew on that if you like.

Maybe these two stupid companies realized the best way to help each other is to promote the movies together, keep comic book films large and in charge and rake in the money. So now The Dark Knight trailer AND The Avengers all in one sitting? Toss on a new trailer for The Hobbit, Promethus, and something amazing for Amazing Spider-Man and you may have geek heaven.

brewtownpsych - 4/20/2012, 8:30 PM
this will depend on the movie theater but the timing (given that the trailer is ready) is such that it will likely be in front for most theaters. however, it may not be first or second or even third.
MercWithAGun - 4/20/2012, 8:32 PM

How does a DC/WB movie get attached to a DISNEY/MARVEL movie? Who came up with this decision?
Mossyrock - 4/20/2012, 8:36 PM
Is it just me, or is there something incredibly ironic about this.....
REDSTORM - 4/20/2012, 8:38 PM

nice great new.

But movie trailers get released with any movie no matter who is backing them.
Irons - 4/20/2012, 8:38 PM
elessarundomiel2382 - It's not that surprising, they did this with Inception and The Dark Knight, putting those trailers in front of IM 2/IM
Dragon316ca - 4/20/2012, 8:38 PM

This is great! A trailer for my second most-anticipated summer movie attached to my most-anticipated summer movie? What more can a guy ask for?
NickMoney - 4/20/2012, 8:40 PM
Kevin Smith was right, the fight is pointless and now Marvel and DC know what is better for business. Shocked since Spiderman 3 will likely be on a trailer as that comes out 2 weeks before Dark Knight Rises and Marvel's other cash cow franchise.
heisei24 - 4/20/2012, 8:40 PM
YESYESYESYESYESYESYES!
NeoBaggins - 4/20/2012, 8:41 PM
This is not the first time a Batman trailer played before a MARVEL studios film.

AlSimmons - 4/20/2012, 8:45 PM
Well it's not like they have any of their own movies that people are going to see, so this makes sense lol.
AVEN - 4/20/2012, 8:47 PM
@headlopper: "I love cake"

Nicolas Cage approve your comment taadddaaaaa!

This is hilarious! After Fanboys Sided with Marvel or DC movies in some imaginary war they believe is happening between their movies, this happens! Its a 100% certainty, that Marvel and DC do not want to see any comic book movies look bad, like Green Lantern did. It hurts them both, if the Comic Book movies start flopping. Then no big budgets, no movies! So guys, IT'S...OK! IT'S ALRIGHT...TO PULL FOR MARVEL, DC, AND NOLAN FILMS! THERE IS NO WAR GOING ON BETWEEN THEIR MOVIES! I'm going to sit and enjoy them all, if theyre good, and not hallucinate and imagine the fanboy created Imaginary War!
JDUKE25 - 4/20/2012, 8:48 PM
um......WIN
