Yesterday Latino Review broke the story that Marvel's 2014 mystery movie is Guardians of the Galaxy and now they have even more exciting news. Legendary Pictures who has been extremely quiet on the Godzilla front will finally unleash their vision of the creature for all to see at Comic-Con this year in the enormous Hall H.

Not only is Legendary bringing the Lizard to comic con but get this, I hear the presentation is SICK! I’m not going to get into specific spoiler territory because then what’s the point of attending the panel, but take this one to the bank.

Godzilla will stomp both the audio and video systems within Hall H two weeks from this Saturday! I’ll be there to witness it myself. I can already envision them shutting down the lights, hearing Godzilla’s roar, and the crowd going wild!
- Latino Review

The film will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters) based on a script by David Goyer that Max Borenstein has rewritten.

Please actually make this movie! If it turns out good, then great. If it sucks then toho will pull the big G outta retirement. Win/win, imo

YEEEEESSSSSS! I can't wait to hear more about this movie! I love Godzilla. I actually had my own Godzilla-movie-marathon for 4 days in a row. So I'm definitely looking forward to this

Can't help but already wonder how they're gonna go at this?
Are they gonna make him go against the Military? (NO)
OR
Are they gonna bring in a classic monster? (Come on GIGAN!)
marvel72 - 6/29/2012, 3:43 AM
i hope we get something more than talking, howabout some sort of footage a teaser trailer would be nice.
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/29/2012, 4:13 AM
Cant wait!:)

Godzilla needs to match with other monster. That would [frick]ing epic.
AutobotCommander84 - 6/29/2012, 4:16 AM
I think it should come out in 2014. Isn't that year the 60th Anniversary of Godzilla?
beane2099 - 6/29/2012, 7:08 AM
They got me once. This time I wait. In theory, a Godzilla movie is kind of hard to mess up. Yet Emmerich & co. found a way. If they had at least made the monster LOOK like Godzilla I might have been okay with the whole affair. IMO though, the best way to make a Godzilla flick is to write a story arc about the big G and his opponent(s) and mesh that in with an action flick. Gojira and Godzilla 1985 (and Cloverfield) are great examples of showing the human side of a monster attack. But for every one of those you got a 'Zilla or a Youngary remake. For my money, give me a flick with monster mayhem and someone like the Rock leading the human action (cue the person who says "that's horrible"). I'm tellin' ya's. Godzilla - Action flick. Worked for Final Wars (if you compare that story to OTHER Japanese movies and not American ones - which is generally how you have to rate a big G flick anyways).

We have waited too long for this. I hope they announce some real progress with a release date and producton starting ASAP.

Cool

I really was surprised they screwed up the last Godzilla movie so bad, but here is the chance to fix that. With CGI so evolved now, they should be able to make a great movie....hopefully!
angus666 - 6/29/2012, 8:14 AM
Well this is awesome.
SCURVYDOG619 - 6/29/2012, 8:20 AM
sounds like there may be a teaser trailer coming...

Destroyer14 is probably already camping out in front of Hall H -in Godzilla-feet slippers,naturally-as we speak.
MilitaryStormtrooper - 6/29/2012, 8:25 AM
Way more anticipated than Avengers 2, Ant-Man Black Panther and GOTG!! AWESOMENESS!!!!!!
Brady1138 - 6/29/2012, 8:49 AM
Can't friekin' WAIT!!!! I've been a huge Godzilla fan growing up, so this and Pacific Rim are dreams come true! Wish I could go to Comic-Con...
FlixMentallo21 - 6/29/2012, 9:36 AM
THIS is an exception I can make to the "Creative Drought" overtaking Hollywood right now. And after seeing what happened in Avengers Vs. X-Men #7, right now I so want to sick the Big G on the Phoenix Five--he'd make them sorry for going mad with power.
FireKnightRises - 6/29/2012, 10:16 AM
gojira iz [frick]ingu awesomu dattebayo!!
