Cartoonist Pokes Fun At THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman film certainly had its flaws, but ultimately is a great movie. A movie that seems to get better with each viewing, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy a laugh or two at its expense.

The one with Iron Man and Batman crossing paths was too good.
TheTaskmaster - 9/5/2012, 7:26 PM
Haha that autopilot part during the movie pissed me off xD
Oh hey it doesn't have autopilot...oh the plot needs to move? Ok well I know how to fix it now I learned in prison apparently..
DrHorrible - 9/5/2012, 7:27 PM
Great movie? To each his own, I guess. With that said, the comic's pretty good, I guess. I've seen some better spoof-type things of TDKR though.
nihcamja - 9/5/2012, 7:44 PM
I read the full thing it is hilarious especially the one with Zoidberg (V)(O,,,,O)(V)
Rodney21a - 9/5/2012, 7:49 PM
I agree 100% this movie was total shit
LOL - 9/5/2012, 7:58 PM
LOL that bomb bit at the end totally nailed it... that scene from the 60's movie went through my head the moment they started flying that shit out of Gotham. I was laughing when the bomb nailed a building during the escape, and how it didn't blow up from the impact was hilarious when EVERYONE before that point was careful NOT to jostle the damn thing for fear of it .
GodzillaKart - 9/5/2012, 8:07 PM
It was crazy when what's-his-name knew that Bruce was Batman, but I guess they needed to have at least ONE detective in the trilogy.
imnotwearinghockeypants - 9/5/2012, 8:11 PM
Yeah, that movie was pretty bad.
GothamJournalist - 9/5/2012, 8:11 PM
I just want to clear things up. John Blake is a good detective. He saw a disguised, and looked into it and figure it out. But, I guess people need a lot of exposition. The prison television had shown only one channel, the death of gotham city. Plus, it is now Bane's prison with Bane's prisoners. Batman fix the autopilot on the prototype 6 months early before he was in prison so he already knew what to do.
KeithM - 9/5/2012, 8:17 PM
Great movie? In your opinion perhaps.

A mediocre one in mine.
GothamJournalist - 9/5/2012, 8:17 PM
Same problem with Inception. Some people need to see it more than one time.
Gromblidor - 9/5/2012, 8:17 PM
Ha ha ha ha! Thank you.
masterhater - 9/5/2012, 8:17 PM
OMG perfect take!
masterhater - 9/5/2012, 8:19 PM
Wait... In all the CBM polls this was everyone's favorite movie vs the Avengers! WTF!!!!!
silverdog - 9/5/2012, 8:26 PM
guy should have done something with the "dramatic" deaths of talia and bane.. funniest part of the pretentious disappointment.

MisterBabadook - 9/5/2012, 8:27 PM
Nolan really loved the 60's tv show. TDK and TDKR are full of nods and winks. Somebody pointed out on CBM that the mask Joker wore during the heist was on a 60's episode ("Joker's Wild"?), the Julie Newmar inspiration, Batman running around with the bomb, all sorts of tiny stuff. Almost like he wanted to take the hokiness out of what once was.

Funny stuff!
UrbanKnight - 9/5/2012, 8:50 PM
Kinda funny.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 9/5/2012, 8:50 PM
I love how half of these comments are just saying that the movie is shit rather than commenting on the actual illustration. Has a higher score than all of the comic book movies this summer on almost every review site so....
But to each their own. Even though "they" are just trolling.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 9/5/2012, 8:50 PM
Btw this was pretty funny.
UrbanKnight - 9/5/2012, 8:52 PM

Exactly. Some people think they are sooo clever. smh
UrbanKnight - 9/5/2012, 8:53 PM
@MrEko lol. Right?
Tainted87 - 9/5/2012, 9:07 PM
Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb...

Funny stuff!
SamHell - 9/5/2012, 9:17 PM
not so sure the word "Great" implies here
CPBuff22 - 9/5/2012, 9:21 PM
This is hilarious!

On a side note if Nolan did indeed thing he was taking the 60's Batman and turning it into a more serious film he failed. I would take Adam West's Batman over Christian Bales Batman any day.
95 - 9/5/2012, 9:28 PM
Funny, but not laugh-out-loud funny.
Tainted87 - 9/5/2012, 9:29 PM
I laughed out loud
mctrinket - 9/5/2012, 9:39 PM
Heh. It's funny cuz it's true.
NostalgicYouth - 9/5/2012, 9:49 PM
Why is everyone calling this pretentious what is so damn pretentious about it? Nolan didn't say this was the best movie he's ever made he didn't say this was going to beat the Avengers, he said this was going to be the best Batman movie since the silent era and the film utilized old film techniques whole still modernizing Batman. So Nolan put his own artistic license on it. so what? Thats why its getting a reboot because WB knew he was going to do that and knew it was the best for Batman, on a Avengers forums there are actually people who are willing to coincide their differences and accept other peoples opinions, but everytime a Batman forum comes up oh "that movie sucks", "Nolan is pretentious", "this movie is shitty" blah blah blah, it all sounds like whining The Avengers was good and The Dark Knight Rises was good, considering the general movie going concensus enjoyed both.

Maximus101 - 9/5/2012, 9:55 PM
Ya this is not really a funny parody at all. The how it should have ended ones are wayyyy better and the college humor ones. Everybody has their own opinions, some say TDKR sucked and some say the avengers sucked. Both were great but TDKR was better in my opinion.
Darkhaven - 9/5/2012, 10:01 PM
It's not LoL funny, but still, if you didn't laugh a little at the last two panels, I'm afraid you're taking things a little too seriously :D
UrbanKnight - 9/5/2012, 10:02 PM
CPBuff22 Well Thank goodness you dont make films :)
SFCamerica - 9/5/2012, 10:04 PM
@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - except for that one movie... What was it called again? Oh that's right, AVENGERS. I'm sure you'll say Rotten Tomatoes (the site most mentioned when speaking of reviews on this site) doesn't count. ;)

To add to the nonsense, I didn't care for it much the first viewing, however, on second viewing I simply turned off my logic sensors and remembered that Nolan's last 2 films on the subject were not CBM's, but crime dramas with a couple dudes in costumes and enjoyed it much more. Oh, and there was this ONE detective named Blake as well.
supermanonemillion - 9/5/2012, 10:15 PM
I'm still trying to figure out what these "flaws" everyone keeps talking about are. To me, Nolan took things to a whole new level with TDKR. Apparently he took them too far for some people...
Jollem - 9/5/2012, 10:21 PM
great cbm trilogy

@supermanonemillion - i enjoyed TDKR, and i cant speak for what everyone else, but i can tell you my problems with TDKR:
Batman didn't prevail over any of the villains. Catwoman beat Bane, a car accident beat Talia. He flew the bomb out with the bat. Batman in the comics, wouldve taken down Bane, then as talia tried to stab him he catches it just in time turns around explains to her (and the audience) how he figured out who she was.(he is the Worlds Greatest Detective) Then Batman wouldve figured out how to deactivate the bomb.... oh and a 5 month timer on a bomb??? really??? Oh and just for fun... it wouldve been so much cooler to have blakes real name be Terry McGunniess, not Robin. (From a linear storytelling standpoint, that wouldve made much more sense then have him be robin.) and nevermind how everyone stuck in the sewers for that time kept clean shaven. the movie was riddles with problems...
and I STILL think this one was better than TDK... Batman Begins is the best one hands down.
