Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray November 9th.

This movie could've been alot better with these deleted scenes, still liked it regardless.
luffycapri - 10/27/2012, 10:09 PM
Not look until I buy the Target 5 disc version.
maxxgone - 10/27/2012, 10:10 PM
jesus christ. i didn't think it was possible for webb to [frick] up uncle ben's death any more than he already did...well yea i was waaaaay wrong.

fire the prick and save this franchise now, because after the next one it'll be too late. he drives me crazy with his justification speeches on the changes they made from the books. THEY STOOD THE TEST OF TIME FOR A REASON YOU ASSHOLE.
maxxgone - 10/27/2012, 10:20 PM
and for the next one, why bother having a mask at all mr webb? [frick] it, just get rid of the mask all together that way garfield won't have to walk around carrying it like a douch bag.

webb ruined an excellent opportunity with an excellent cast. as director it was his responsibility to fight for the spider-man/peter parker legacy & the things that matter. he failed.
TheMarvelWay - 10/27/2012, 10:22 PM
Those are some pretty laughable scenes. Amazingly worse than the actual movie. If only they had deleted the entire movie it wouldve been better.
TheMarvelWay - 10/27/2012, 10:34 PM
@maxxgone Its freaking crazy whats going on with Spidey. You have Webb bastardizing it and giving us his awkward, mediocre garbage that is not Spider-Man and Marvel has dropped Peter Parker from the Ultimate title and with Marvel Now.
If DC Comics could make Marvels decisions regarding Marvels greatest ICON they would give us the same crap in order to decrease Spideys popularity.
Its one thing to screw around with Captain America or The Punisher but Spider-Man never needed changed or improved upon as he was Marvels best freaking character.
The only problem was idiots like Joe Quesada who tried to make him better with their blatant stupidity.
This is the Dark Age of Spider-Man, because hes being controlled by talentless hacks and fools.
AmazingFantasy - 10/27/2012, 10:34 PM
AWESOME.

My reaction:

HAILHYDRA - 10/27/2012, 10:35 PM
Miles Morales for the Amazing Spider-Man 2!!!!!
nailbiter111 - 10/27/2012, 10:44 PM
a 30 yr old spider-man pretending to be a high school kid, making out with a Mary Jane that looks like she is 15, yeah i don't have high hopes going forward. reboot!
GuardianAngel - 10/27/2012, 10:46 PM
@SuspenseSmith Same here with TASM & TDKR.
Tony93 - 10/27/2012, 10:53 PM
FINALLY!.

Still dissapointed in this film.. Webb cant direct superhero epics..... the heroism in the film was totally missed
RR51 - 10/27/2012, 10:54 PM
Those could have made the movie so much better

FOOM - 10/27/2012, 10:54 PM
Still won't buy this on Blu-ray. Come to think of it I should really have asked for my money back at the box office. Peter Parker's portayal was a disgrace. Whiney, distant, argumentative, always giving Uncle Ben and Aunt May a hard time, stealing stuff you name it. Peter is meant to be an everyman but in TASM he's a nobody.
Mrcool210 - 10/27/2012, 11:01 PM
the movie kicked enough ass without these scenes, they should have added these back in, (minus the girls in the bathroom) it would have made the movie soo much better
AmazingFantasy - 10/27/2012, 11:04 PM
TUMBLR has lost it's complete SHIT with all the GIFS that are being made, the fan girls are dying over there. My dash is filled, not a bad thing.

KnobGoblin - 10/27/2012, 11:04 PM
Can we get a Directors Cut of this movie please?
D117 - 10/27/2012, 11:08 PM
@nailbiter111@FOOM Agreed, I'm not gonna get this on Blu- Ray either
D117 - 10/27/2012, 11:11 PM
If Webb got screwed over the first time, why the hell would he go back? That's what I want to know.
Jolt17 - 10/27/2012, 11:14 PM
Wow, Uncle Ben's alternative death, Connors' son, Connors entering the sewer, the sewer confrontation, Ratha's death (AND the Lizard in his lab coat)...

Why, Sony?
StormLoganSummers - 10/27/2012, 11:16 PM
The only scene worth keeping was the second one. The final product didn't need to have all that other crap.
M3T4LL0 - 10/27/2012, 11:22 PM
Why the hell is he yelling at someone else to call for an ambulance when it showed him with cellphone not even a minute before the shooting?
nailbiter111 - 10/27/2012, 11:26 PM
M3T4LL0 - great point
Pending - 10/27/2012, 11:31 PM
I don't get people who say the movie was great but would've been alot better with all those deleted scenes, cause all these deleted scenes almost paint a different movie altogether, kind of contradicts a little there doesn't it?
breakUbatman - 10/27/2012, 11:46 PM
@M3T4LL0 - I also caught that in cinemas and was told I was being an ass.

Same applies to why it never crosses his mind to take photo evidence on his phone before going to the cops. You'd think a guy who is known for being smart and is a photographer and has a cellphone would make a plan.

@SpectacularSpider

Don't get it either.
prettynuclear2 - 10/27/2012, 11:58 PM
too much damn music in this movie.
DrHorrible - 10/28/2012, 12:01 AM
I liked the movie as a whole. It had its flaws, but I still liked it a good deal. Some of these scenes were pointless, but some would've been pretty good to leave in. I'll probably buy the Blu-ray of it.

Also, what's with that first comment, nailbiter? I honestly don't think Andrew looks near 30 at all. He's 28 and to me, he honestly looks to be around 20 or so. I've seen plenty of guys at my university that look 30, but are only 20 or so. Honestly, his age isn't really a problem.
CharacterAssassin - 10/28/2012, 12:32 AM
If you're ever using a urinal don't look down. You just might associate that big red penis on Spiderman's costume with yours.
rebellion - 10/28/2012, 12:35 AM
@FOOM amen to that!
Taco - 10/28/2012, 1:22 AM
anybody else hate springboard as much as I do?
Lightsplasher - 10/28/2012, 1:42 AM
Sony please !! You could at least add those scene on the movie ! I found the movie really good but with hose deleted scene it would have been better !!
Ichaos - 10/28/2012, 2:22 AM
Just hope the next one is better. it was adequate for a movie rebooting back to the origin again. They need to get him out of high school and into the Bugle. High school spider is meh.
FOOM - 10/28/2012, 2:32 AM
The reality folks is that despite doing our best to try to like this movie the fact is it just wasn't very good.

I give credit to Raimi for nailing Peter's innate goodness and strength of character but the big problem with his take was that Peter never grew out of his awkward geekiness at any time over those three movies.
Quite a contrast to the progress he made from Amazing Fantasy #15 to the end of the Lee/Romita Sr run.
In contrast Webb's intrepretation has none of the character associated with Peter Parker.
TheMarvelWay - 10/28/2012, 3:00 AM
They need to make the Blu Rays for Amazing Spider-Man look like a pile of crap.
Call it 'The Director's Big Dump Cut'.
Hudson3D - 10/28/2012, 3:30 AM
Look, lets look at this a different way because I personally think this was a load of crap. Ask your selves, how many times will you have seen Raimis first Spider man in the last ten years and then ask your self if you could watch this one the same amount over the next ten years. I don't care if I don't see it for another ten years, that's how boring it was. It was OK but that's it. This is f**king Spider-man for christ sake.. The jewel in Marvels Crown! And being OK was just not good enough!! Reboot this Reboot!!

Hudson3D - 10/28/2012, 3:40 AM
And I will just say this too..

I use to be a massive Star Trek fan. I couldn't get enough of it. Even went to a convention. And when the last one with Picard came out (Nemisis), I went to watch it naturally. I came out of the cinema and said it was great! I bet it took me about 12 months to finally say to myself "That was the biggest load of shit I have ever seen"

My point being is that I wanted to defend it because I loved Star Trek but I couldn't anymore. I expect people to defend this but honestly... it just wasn't good enough!
LaputaHeir - 10/28/2012, 3:51 AM
This movie totally sucked!

JamesAsAlways - 10/28/2012, 3:55 AM
I disagree completely with most of what has been said, this movie was brilliant, I think it was a long needed step in the right direction, I found the first trilogy terrible, the acting was stale, Toby Maguire just wasn't Spider-man, Andrew Garfield is leagues better.
Happy11 - 10/28/2012, 4:26 AM
I haven't seen tasm and for me not to go to the cinema especially opening day for a cbm says it all really. Sony have ruined it
