Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film opens August 1, 2014.

TruePunishment - 7/29/2014, 11:51 AM
Why is there an apostrophe in "Rocket"?
MercwithMouth - 7/29/2014, 11:58 AM
I could watch that Deadpool footage ALL DAY. It's incredible. And, as I found out, Deadpool is not CGI, just the suit is. Ryan Reynolds did the entire performance in MO-CAP.
kinghulk - 7/29/2014, 12:04 PM
yoss- same here
Homunculus97 - 7/29/2014, 12:09 PM
Alright so I am a bit confused , is Rocket in the MCU a racoon or is he an alien crature that looks like a racoon ? I've heard both origin stories about him and I thought they would use the one were he is a genetically enhanced racoon and not the alien one :/

I'd like to party with Milano.

RobertLiefeld - 7/29/2014, 1:13 PM
I don't get why they are calling Star-Lord's ship Milano? Star-Lord's ship is named "Ship." I don't understand why they thought that change was so necessary. Star-Lord is supposed to say and do a lot of quirky things. I don't think him calling his ship Ship would be such a big deal. It does make me concerned that Milano will not be the sentient shape-shifting Ship from the comics, which would be a shame.

2 days left... This day is over with!
ALmazing - 7/29/2014, 1:34 PM
@RobertLiefeld-It's a kid from the 80's thing.

SPOILER!!!!

Alisa Milano was Quill's crush when he was little.

END SPOILER!!!
BlindJustice - 7/29/2014, 1:39 PM
@ALmazing - Haha that's what i was thinking. Very cool spoiler. ;-)
konoyaro - 7/29/2014, 1:44 PM
i am groot...
EzioKenway1225 - 7/29/2014, 1:44 PM
man..3 more days left..cant wait!!!!.... hopefully it is as good as people are saying it is.. i cant wait to see Groot and see Rocket on the big screen.. Bradley Cooper is killing it as Rocket imo
RobertLiefeld - 7/29/2014, 1:45 PM
@Almazing Oh, ok. That is neat because Star-Lord does become romantically involved with Ship at one point. So, hopefully Milano is a sentient light being shape shifting spaceship still. lol
EzioKenway1225 - 7/29/2014, 1:50 PM
this movie is going to be so gorgeous on the big screen..i am so happy that Whedon was so impressed with Ben Davis who is the cinematographer for Guardians that he brought him onto do Age of Ultron and i have heard that people who didnt quite like the TV Feel of Avengers will be VERY happy with the the way AOU is shot
Deadcool - 7/29/2014, 3:52 PM
Almost all of this is recycled, even the interviews with the cast. Whatever.
IronMountaineer - 7/29/2014, 3:57 PM
@RobertLiefeld are you suggesting a shape-shifting Alyssa Milano in this movie!?

I vote Yes!!
marvel72 - 7/29/2014, 4:38 PM
only 1 day to ago,well for uk fans anyway.
RobertLiefeld - 7/29/2014, 4:54 PM
@IronMountaineer

I guess I am. lol It would be like discovering Atlantis.
ScionStorm - 7/29/2014, 11:34 PM
@Homunculus97 There is only one origin story for Rocket. And yes. He is a raccoon. If you actually bother to read his profile displayed right here in this very video used from the very first trailer for this film you would read "Origin: Halfworld" Furthermore you would also read "Enhancements:Cybernetic Skeletal Structure, Enhanced Phalange and Metacarpal Bones, Genetically Augmented Cerebral Cortex. Associates: Groot, Lylla"
Homunculus97 - 7/30/2014, 12:38 AM
@ScionStorm
Ah thanks , I just got a bit confused as Rocket didn't know what a raccoon is , but then it hit me , he was enhanced on Halfword and there were probably no english speaking aliens there so how the [frick] would he know the name of his own species in a language he haven't heard before , thats nice writing there :) I also wonder how Quill can understand all the different alien languages ? Maybe many of the people in the space travelling business have an intergalactic translator ?
