Thanks to this, I remember why Superman wasn't really important to me because his movies were boring and he had one weakness. good thing Zack Snyder's here to give us the real superman.

76% on RT. I guess a lot of professional "idiots" thought is was just as decent as Iron Man 3:)

Both films are over 76% shit. :p

I liked the plane rescue scenes in both though.

@d-mort

You didn't have a girlfriend in '06.

You didn't have a girlfriend in '06 that you "made" watch Routh in spandex.

If I remember correctly the opening sequence was a perfect fast forward through the origin. Krypton blowing up rocket going to Earth...

DC fanboys always brag about how DC/WB movies have more "substance" and are more "mature" than Marvel Studios Movies, I guess this is an example of it.

It's time to get over this, people. Still complaining about Michael Dukakis losing the election, too?

This is the only movie I ever fell asleep during, while @ a movie theatre. I got to the airplane scene i think and then Routh was lifting a small continent...then I'm pretty sure I dozed off again. :)

He missed the one about Lois thinking superman date raped her, since she has no memory of getting laid in part 2.

Also superman acknowledging that he has a kid, then never addressing it to Lois.

Yeah, pretty creepy flick.

I thought it was decent, I mean it's a much better movie (and a much better Superman movie) than Superman 3 or Superman 4, probably on a par with Superman II considering all the silly stuff in that film (cellophane 'S' thrown at Non, Superman wiping Lois' memory with a kiss, giving up his powers and responsibility). There was a lot of silly stuff, and stupid stuff, cliches and even a couple of plot holes (like the very uneven way kryptonite functioned), and I can't say I liked the cast because I'm sure there were more suited actors to almost every role (except Perry White and this interpretation of Lex Luthor, which was a slightly darker version of Gene Hackman's take on the character), but I like it for what it achieved, which was an homage to the original Superman movies, but one which managed to do so in a more serious, less tongue-in-cheek way.

I think it was a decent movie, but a mediocre Superman movie.

And while I laughed at this video, particularly the bit about people not putting Clark and Superman's five year disappearances together and figuring out they were the same, I just realised the same thing happened with Bruce Wayne and Batman 3 times in The Dark Knight trilogy, 2 of those occasions being in The Dark Knight Rises (plus Bruce and Batman both apparently dying at the same time, so maybe 3 and a half times altogether).

Anyway, looking forward to Man of Steel
