COMICS: New JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA Revealed

This just in from FanExpo Canada: DC Comics is launching a brand new version of the JLA in 2013. Geoff Johns will write, with pencils by David Finch. Check out the team - which includes Martian Manhunter, Catwoman, and new GL, Baz - past the jump..

Click on the pic for a larger look. Quite a line-up eh? According to MTV Geek, "the title brings together a disparate group of heroes under the leadership of Steve Trevor to fight the Secret Society of Super Villains.". As you can see the team will also include Martian Manhunter, Catwoman, Baz, Green Arrow, Vibe, Stargirl, and Katana. Apparently JLA will run alongside Justice League. This would explain justice league #8 when Steve told green arrow about joining another team. But I'm curious as to why catwoman is on the team. Doesn't sound like her.

Catwoman looks a lot like her Arkham City version and Green Arrow looks a lot like he does in his upcoming tv series.

I love it. LOVE the characters and their art, thats one of the reasons i prefer DC. And the line up is friggin epic, STARGIRL, CATWOMAN, and who's that guy in the black with the guns? Like his costume.

the mask on GL looks weird. Should've made him look Arabic. Seems like a missed opportunity for a really wicked GL costume.

But if you'v been following any of DC's hints this shouldent come as a suprise.

With the upcoming trinity war and DC talking about intertwining the JL comics, JL and JL dark.

Also in JL#8, when Green Arrow tried to join the team but was recruited to a different unknown team, and the Martian manhunter in the same issue saying theyre not ready.

And finally the clincher being the preview in DC's free comic book day showing two different JL teams fighting it out for pandoras box.

This all looks really awesome, this all makes sense, cant wait until Captain Marvel comes officially on scene as well as the Question and the Phantom stranger as the Trinity of sin.

Next year will be so kick ass :)

Thats Vibe, he was around in the 80's, he has sound powers where he can shoot sound waves or something like that, hes considered a joke and Johns picked him for that reason, he said he always likes a challenge :)

I see where this is going, especially with the title "it will take the worlds most dangerous."

Its kinda like DC's black ops team, all these guys are darker heroes who are loose canons and not really adored by the public and dont play by the rules. And because of that they are probably put together by the government to hunt down the real Justice League.

You got Catwoman who is a thief and not always on the side of the law.

Martian manhunter who got kicked off the JL apparently for his methods and was in Stormwatch.

Baz who from the previews says he is someone who you would not think a canidate for the corps.

Katanna who is more assassin then hero.

Green arrow who is a bit of a vigilante.

The SAVAGE Hawkman who carries around huge spiked blades as weapons.

And Steve Trevor, the government agent meant to keep this group of wild cards in line.

Vibe I dont know his status qou in the new 52 and honestly Star girl Im not sure what shes doing in here.

All in all very very cool.

It isn't the Justice League without Superman and Batman. It would be pointless.
