COMICS: New 52 Debuts Of Blue Devil & Black Lightning In DC UNIVERSE PRESENTS #13

I was wondering if and when one of these guys would show up in the New 52. These characters were never hugely popular, but had a small cult following, and you can see them face-off in the following 5 page preview of DC Universe Presents #13..

black lightning suit kinda looks like NightWing's. Shall we cast for this movie already? Will Smith for Black Lightning. haha. obvious

Much better art than the other Marvel and DC art Ive seen in other articles here. These guys really try to do art not just trace photos theyve taken.

As for this team up, odd, but I hate it when editors group only the well known icons.
Maybe they can have fun with these guys which is really what is missing from Marvel and DC.

Every time I hear Black Lightnings name I think of Robot Chicken where they call him Blacktricity.

And the new costume looks pretty much just like one of his older ones, but without the gold trim line around the lightning across the chest, its not really a big deal!

I'm reading DC now because I am sick and tired of having to spend extra money on big event tie ins every freaking week for predictable stories that either involve the Avengers or the X-men and enough is enough.

I don't like Blue Devil's new look. I liked him better looking like more of a buff human with horns. This is TOO demonic looking. I guess I prefer his original look because it resembles Hellboy.

The artist is good but he may as well be drawing piles of dogshit because that's all I see.

Blue Devil has NEVER been given a fair shake,his own title back in the 80's was FANTASTIC!
What a great origin of a stuntman / genius special effects guy getting trapped inside his creation by supernatural magic.

BD looked so damn cool & he was a "weirdness magnet" encountering all sorts of trouble,so cool..I would advise everyone to seek out those old stories.
Now he's a lame ass "real devil" looking skinny & wearing an awful outfit.
He should be big & bad,not a leather clad fruitcake.

Black Lightning used to be cool..this new look is a variation of Nightwing's suit. TERRIBLE.

By the way...Blue Devil was created way before Hellboy.

Hellboy is a great creation and is treated with respect by his creator..DC is crapping on a once amazing character that chooses to ruin what made him great.

Pitiful treatment on Black Lightning too..he could be a real star if someone cared.
