COMICS: Is A New DC Team Book On The Way From Jeff Lemire?

Jeff Lemire - currently on Justice League Dark - has Tweeted images of several characters over the last few days, including Kamandi and Red Tornado. Is he teasing a new team comic, or is he just having a bit of fun? Speculate after the jump..

We may have a very interesting New 52 team book on the way in 2013 if the following images Tweeted by writer/artist Jeff Lemire are anything to go by..



As you can see, we have Kamandi, Red Tornado, Jemm Son of Saturn, and The Specter . Now of course this doesn't necessarily mean anything, as Lemire - despite a lot of prompting from fans - hasn't said another word on the matter. But the timing would suit as Lemire's Sweet Tooth ships its final issue this coming Wednesday. So if we are indeed looking at four members of a brand new DC team, what would you make of it?

only character im interested is Spectre,hes awesome, I think theyre doing something with him anyway as seen in Phantom Stranger

I have a rule, if Jeff Lemire writes it I read it. Perhaps these are characters that are going to appear in JLD at some point.

I love Justice League Dark. I picked it 1-7 in graphic novel from and it's so good I keep picking it up. I love it.

This looks interesting can't wait. I want DC comics to use ICON more. Although hes in Young Justice from time to time we never get to see him go all out.

I'd definitely add Jemm Son of Saturn, and Spectre to my pull list each week. I'd give Kamandi and Red Tornado a few issues before I decided anything permanent about reading them.

Red Tornado was briefly seen in Earth 2, I thought. So maybe this is an Earth 2 thing? I think it would be super cool if J'emm, son of Saturn was Earth 2's Martian Manhunter. His character was last seen briefly in the New Krypton story, but he hasn't been used a meaningful way in a long time. I"m interested to see where this leads. Also, I agree with AMAZO1, Icon needs more love. Oddly enough, I always wanted to see an alternative Justice League with Icon and J'emm as members.
