he Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

OH LOOK! Pics of scenes we never got of Dr Connors going through the permenent change to Lizard...OH & HEY! There's a Pic of Uncle Ben's Killer that Spiderman never caught. Guess he just got away with murder. It's cool, Peter didnt have to find the Killer & realize that if he had done something in that gas station he could have saved his Uncle's Life, no biggie, it's just whats in the comics, ya know?
ACira - 10/7/2012, 7:08 AM
@JonathaNisMagnuM he knew it was the same guy, he saw it happen, getting revenge would've made no difference to the fact that he knew he [frick]ed up and his Uncle Ben payed for it with his life. Besides, we don't know if the killer escaped because they had plans for him in a sequel?
Keldor - 10/7/2012, 8:06 AM
This is so much better than the other article.
JonathaNisMagnuM - 10/7/2012, 8:33 AM
@ACira there's NOTHING in the film that implies that he saw his Uncle get shot. He heard a gunshot then ran to see the victim & realized it was his Uncle. If Peter already knew what he looked like by seeing the mugger throw him milk in the store, why would he need a mugshot? Your comment makes no sense & the fact that you are also implying that theyre gonna use Uncle Ben's Killer in the sequel rather than a better more interesting Villain like Goblin or Electro or Mysterio is actually lame. Unless, theyre gonna pull a Spiderman 3 & have Uncle Ben's mugger become a bigger villain like electro or someone from the comics, which would be stupid & a ripoff of Spiderman 3. the mugger is essential to the origin, & this versions origin is pretty much DONE. Unless, TASM was just a 2hr trailer for something in the future, which is also lame because that just implies that Sony can't make a standalone Spidey flick.

People need to face it that this movie just got it wrong, it was rushed & had too many plotholes. Sure, its a decent movie, because it's Spider-Man. & I'm not saying that Raimi's films were perfect, but they were alot closer to the source than TASM. To be honest this was just about the same movie as Raimis 1st spiderman, xcept for in this one, the girl is Gwen instead of MJ, the villain is Lizard instead of GG, & they [frick]ed up uncle bens death & spidermans whole origin in TASM. He is supposed to become Spiderman because of guilt. he feels guilty & responsible when he @ACira **cough**CATCHES HIS UNCLES KILLER **cough** & REALIZES that had he not been a jackass & stopped the mugger during the robbery, his Uncle would still be alive.
JonathaNisMagnuM - 10/7/2012, 8:42 AM
Oh & before anyone wants to counter my opnion on TASM being a quasi-copy of Raimis 1st flick by saying "YEA, WELL IN THIS ONE HE ACTUALLY GETS WEBSHOOTERS, & HE' SHOWS HIS SMARTS, SO IT IS MORE FAITHFUL TO THE BOOKS!!!", think about what you're saying.

In the Comics, Peter creates the web fluid that he uses to webswing as Spidey. In TASM, yea, he makes webshooters, but the websluid? He stole it from Oscorp. Just like he stole the equation to cross species genetics from his Dads briefcase. What else did he do other than that to proof that he's a huge genius? I hope some of you TASM Webb-Heads don't say "skateboard to Coldplay" LMAO
Tomontherun99 - 10/7/2012, 9:07 AM
@JonathaNisMagnuM You could say that. Or you could just relax and accept it's just a movie?
JonathaNisMagnuM - 10/7/2012, 9:28 AM
@Tomontherun99 Yea, its a movie........shit movie
Tomontherun99 - 10/7/2012, 9:44 AM
@JonathaNisMagnuM And your point is? The comics are still there, Raimi's films are still there. Webb tried something new and it didn't work but at least he tried to innovate a bit and shake a few things up. No one is forcing you to watch the movie, just because it exists doesn't mean you need to complain about it, just ignore it and move on with your life.

That first pic is how I feel about The Amazing Spider-Man haters!
@JonathaNisMagnuM Calm down and enjoy the movie before I kick your facking teeth in!
spidey1610 - 10/7/2012, 10:58 PM
@JonathaNisMagnuM

Obviously there were many problems with that film script structurally like the killer, Lizard Army, etc but keep in mind that the emotional scenes (Gwen and Peter moments, Ben's Death, crane scene) were very realistic and deserves some credit to that effect.
JonathaNisMagnuM - 10/7/2012, 11:27 PM
@notmuchtotellreally Wow, you gonna kick my facking teeth in from that computer in your mom's house? Man. you must be tough.. Lemme guess, from your Username & your tough guy machismo, 16? 17 yrs old?!? LOL of course you would love this Movie & be a fan of hipster Peter Parker....Instead of making idle threats, why don't you grab your skateboard, plug your headphones in your ears & put Coldplay on Pandora. K, kiddo?!?
BenderDickCumPatch - 10/8/2012, 4:05 AM
Jon is mad. You mad?

Yeah he mad.
Spidey31 - 10/8/2012, 7:39 AM
Well actually half of these so called" plot holes" @jonathen mentions are not plot holes. If you paid attention to the movie and the characters and their motives and what casues them to do those certain actions( stop looking for bens killer) then you would know that Peter stopped looking for uncle bens killer becase he learned he needed to stop the lizard which he helped create. Dr.ratha was a plot hole so your argument is invalid
Spidey31 - 10/8/2012, 7:40 AM
And he wasn't using his powers for good but rather a selfish manner
notmuchtotellreally - 10/8/2012, 1:40 PM
