COMICS: Preview BATMAN And "RED" ROBIN #19

The solicitation says "On the darkest of nights, who is the one person Batman meets that could change his life forever?" It should probably read, "On the darkest of nights, who is the last person you'd expect Batman to meet that could change his life forever?"

On the darkest of nights, who is the one person Batman meets that could change his life forever?

Hmm. I can definitely see why DC was originally going to dub this WTF Month. It's definitely an intriguing preview to say the least.

Holy shit.

That's some awesome work. Stitching the panels together? Dope!

making a sound effect out of the debris is pretty cool, too

Is batman stitching up Tim Drake?
starfighter - 3/16/2013, 2:31 AM
@ Jollem - It reminds me of The Flash comics they've been releasing.
Jollem - 3/16/2013, 2:37 AM
@starfighter - never really read much flash. i dig the barry, tho

I'm happy to see that Frankenstein is still around even though his series got cancelled. He was more of a support character anyhow.

So they get rid of Robin and the next thing we know [frick]ing Frankenstein is in a Bat-book? I hated Damian getting sacked, and I don't like anything super-natural touching my Bat-books. Keep this up DC and I'll be dropping my comic budget by a few more books!

Still bitter about Damien getting wasted. Batman and Robin has been one of the best New 52 books. Don't know how it will be without Damien. But holy crap is Gleason's art just beautiful. I'll keep buying as long as he's still drawing it.

Supernatural elements in Batman books since 1995:
Soloman Grundy
The Mortician
The Resurrection of Jason Todd
The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul
Nyssa Al Ghul's existence.
Crispus Allen from Gotham Central becoming the new Spectre
Batman tracking down the Holy Grail.

This is kind of weird but I suppose that's what they are going for.

"I don't like anything super-natural touching my Bat-books"

Let's play: spot the shitty nolanite.

if you don't like supernatural stuff in Batman, drop your subscription now. batman comics have always had supernatural and hyper-sci-fi elements. and I don't want it gone because of shitty nolanites like you.

I sooo see them caring if you drop the books....Damien deserved to die because he never should have been brought in to begin with.

That cover rocks.
I'm interested to know how quickly a new Robin will be introduced. I think it shouldn't be for a year or so ... he has just lost his own son, you know.
Fastestmanalive - 3/16/2013, 5:44 PM
Wow, was not expecting that.
Superguy15 - 3/16/2013, 8:59 PM
Hoping after they go through the Bat family, they have him team up with like the Flash or Aquaman or GL. Would be cool to see this become a Brave and the Bold type book.
