DRAGON BALL Z: BATTLE OF GODS "SSJ3 Goku No Match For Bills"

If the God of Destruction Bills makes child's play of a Super Saiyan 3 Goku can anyone in the universe hope to stop him? It looks like it's going to take a Super Saiyan God to get the job done.

The power levels in Dragon Ball Z usually jump exponentially between antagonists but Bills is just downright scary. In a previous clip, we saw the God of Destruction take out the Z-fighters with a pair of chopsticks and in the new clip above, Super Saiyan 3 Goku can't even lay a finger on him. There's a number of rumors floating around currently about which Z-warrior powers up to defeat Bills but it's been confirmed that Goku becomes a Super Saiyan God in the film.

The film, unlike Dragon Ball GT, will be part of the official Dragon Ball canon, with creator Akira Toriyama supplying direction on the story. The film will be set between chapter 517 and 518 of the manga, often called 'The Lost Decade' due to the 10 year time-jump following the battle with Majin Boo.

SYNOPSIS: The events of Battle of Gods takes place several years after the battle with Majin Boo, which determined the fate of the entire universe. Wiss and Bills, the God of Destruction, are tasked with maintaining some sort of balance in the universe. After awakening from a long slumber, Bills is visited by Wiss and he learns that the galactic overlord Freeza has been defeated by a Super Saiyan from the North Quadrant of the universe named Goku, who is also a former student of the North Kaiō. Bills tracks down this warrior, Goku on Kaiō-sama's planet with his ally, the mysterious Wiss and challenges him to a battle. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods explodes with dynamic action from there, featuring character such as Kuririn, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and more of the Z Warriors.

Just looked up a pic and it looks like SSJ God Goku is before SSJ4. Take the SSJ4 Gokue but add blonde hair on the body and head.

Damn even as a 23yr old, i will be seeing this nostalgia, i grew up on DBZ....people r saying the cat looks corny, but Majin Buu looked stupid but he was one of the strongest fighters

saw the movie awesome , the flaming god photo is just the beginning SPOILER!!!!!! he says that in the movie he now knows the feeling and can do it without help..... he has three years to find its " true form" as the way they achieve ssg in the film is "cheating" and bills will return.

Bills looks alright. it would be cool if he was bigger, i think it would make him more menacing. but who knows, maybe he'll have a few transformations like every other DBZ villain. looking forward to this more than most features coming to theaters.

I had an argument with someone on this site about a year ago. We debated over which was the better Anime Naruto or One Piece.

I wish to thank whoever it was because Ive watched 540 episodes of Luffy now and would have to agree with you (whoever you are).

I respect your tastes but you have to understand that if Dragon Ball looks worse now it's because it as so influential other animes copied it until the point DB looked like a living cliché.

Eichiiro Oda (One Piece) and Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto) flat-out admitted their based their protagonists on Son Goku and that they took a lot of tropes from Dragon Ball. tite Kubo (bleach) never said anything like that but it's painfully obvious it borrows a lot of its tropes (Super Modes, Visually Identical Flash Steps...).

Now, i'm not saying One Piece or Naruto are better or worse than Dragon Ball, I'm saying you can't really compare them.

Independently on what you think about it's quality, Dragon Ball's merits surpass anything from those otyher animes.

Much like Ozamu tezuka is considered the father of manga, Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball IS the father of the Shounen genre (in which One Piece, Naruto and Bleach are included).

It plays a different game altogether. Dragon Ball IS A MANGA CLASSIC and only thanks to it you can now have One Piece and Naruto.

I understand and agree with you about Dragonballs prestige and influence. I was watching Dragonball, Z and GT when they were being premiered in the US. I save a special spot for their mythology but with what you said Naruto and One Piece learned and improved on DBs groundwork. I can see the improvement in animation quality, story depth, and pacing. I recognize that you know more about anime than I do and thanks for the info.

Goku is the Superman of Anime. Im going to try and say this without pissing anyone of. Anime and Manga is getting to the point where their content is surpassing American Comics and Cartoons. DC and Marvel have been slipping in quality (while making strives in marketing and media) and dedicated writers like Eichiiro Oda (One Piece), Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto) are thriving and challenging their characters hundreds of issues in without rebooting or launching multiple lines.

DC and Marvel Comic are still my first loves though.

Excited as I am for this, I'm going to wait for the dub. Any other anime, I say subs with original Japanese everytime, but this is my one exception. I can't stand the original voices and to me, the Funimation actors are integral to the show. It's weird, I'm such a purist with any other series, but for DB, I gotsta have my dub.

Great answer. personally I can agree with everything you said. :D

Personally I love One Piece and Naruto too, but I grew up with DB and nostalgia does wonder. ;)
