Between the less than impressive critical and financial reaction to Green Lantern last year and Christopher Nolan bringing his Batman trilogy to an end a couple of months ago, the only superhero currently confirmed to be heading to the big screen is Superman in next June's Man of Steel There has been a lot of talk about a Justice League movie being released in 2015, but "talk" is all it is right now. However, Green Arrow will be getting his own series this Fall and the CW are also said to be hard at work on exploring Wonder Woman's early years in Amazon. So, with DC Entertainment seemingly intent on keeping their huge stable of iconic superheroes on television, the question we asked you was who else you would like to see joining Ollie and Diana! A lot of you had some very interesting suggestions which weren't included, but the winner was NIGHTWING; taking first place with BATMAN just seven votes behind! Check out the results in full below and sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.

I would like to see a Sandman, Nightwing, or Death Stroke tv series.
ironknight27 - 9/16/2012, 10:43 AM
A Nightwing series would be awesome! They wouldnt need a lot of cgi for this series but just an awesome stunt crew. The only need for cgi would be if they centered the series on his days in Bludhaven and it would be used for Blockbuster. Hell if they did the series based on the New 52 I vote Jensen Ackles for Saiko. I also thing Matt Bomer would make a great choice for Nightwing.
NightAvenger - 9/16/2012, 10:51 AM
Nightwing would be a dream come true.
GuardianAngel - 9/16/2012, 10:52 AM
I would really like to see a Suicide Squad TV Series.
hush - 9/16/2012, 10:53 AM
I am so pleased Nightwing won!!!!! As a massive Wing-nut myself, this pleases me muchly.
Supes17 - 9/16/2012, 11:09 AM
Nightwing's a badass motha[frick]a
Wingding - 9/16/2012, 11:17 AM
Yes! As it should be. Make this happen please.
ibravosp5 - 9/16/2012, 11:31 AM
I think Jason Todd should be featured as a villian in a nightwing or batman tv series. I never seen any show mention him. Batman Under the red hood is the only thing that actually showed him. So he should be featured
mrHJK - 9/16/2012, 11:42 AM
Nightwing show would be great. Could include other Batman family characters, Teen Titans, Young Justice, and other characters.
jimpinto24 - 9/16/2012, 11:42 AM
I would also like to see Catwomen & Dead Stroke get their own TV series.
DarkGrifter - 9/16/2012, 11:47 AM
A ten part Suicide Squad series with one hour episodes. Give it to a television network that knows what it's doing then give them a high budget for a whole lotta explosions :P
m0th3r - 9/16/2012, 11:50 AM
Nightwing...and like someone said, use Jason Todds Red Hood as one of the Major Villians...
TheRationalOne - 9/16/2012, 11:53 AM
I don't know why any of you would want to see ANOTHER Batman show. We've had 8 movies so far, a live action series, and multiple animated series, with more to come. He shouldn't have even been an option. Nightwing is a perfect way to do a show within the Batman universe but not have it centered on Batman, and Nightwing is an incredible character. I'm glad he won. Hopefully someone at WB is paying attention.
marvel72 - 9/16/2012, 12:03 PM
the right hero won,but we should be aiming for big screen adaptions not shitty cw adaptions.
TheOmegaOne - 9/16/2012, 12:13 PM
I like to see a Nightwing series and use some of the Rogues that haven't been seen yet. Then at the end of the first season introduce Red Hood.
bhorwith22 - 9/16/2012, 12:14 PM
This might sound crazy, but maybe they should integrate Arrow into the DC Cinematic Universe.
HannibalKing - 9/16/2012, 12:20 PM
Weren't the WB going to being out a Dick Grayson series a few years back? So we kind of nearly did have a Nightwing series.
Anyhow how about re-polling this question leaving out anything to do with Batman?
UltimateHunt - 9/16/2012, 12:23 PM
Who the hell are they??? i just recoginez not even half of them. Anywho it will be really REALLY cool if after the success of Arrow(I HOPE) they would do more to introduced more not know characters to the world, besides GL,SuperMan,WW,Batman no body exactly knows the others i would say do a DC character that ppl doesnt know they got ALOT. That would b a good move for DC plus created a Animated series they are REALLY good at that.
ComicFan523 - 9/16/2012, 1:34 PM
I voted for Batman, but a Nightwing series would be cool too. If Arrow is successful they should create spinoff series for other DC characters and have a shared universe like Marvel did with The Avengers.
Minghagz - 9/16/2012, 1:36 PM
I agree. Nightwing is really the best choice on this whole list and I would be ecstatic to check it out! ... I'm not even a huge Nightwing fan either and I still voted for him.
SUPERBATSPIDERMAN - 9/16/2012, 1:51 PM
A Nightwing show would be awesome. I remember several years back they were talking about a show called Grayson where it is about Dick Grayson who was framed for Batman's murder so he was on the run from other super heroes. At least that is what I remembered.

Here is a cool fan movie I saw about Nightwing which would be a good example how Nightwing could work.

NightAvenger - 9/16/2012, 2:00 PM
Milo and Bomer are too old.

Aaron Johnson FTW
catman - 9/16/2012, 2:45 PM
The acting in that fan film is beyond bad...
Optimus83 - 9/16/2012, 2:49 PM
- Smallville with Bruce Wayne/Batman (Gotham)

- Nightwing TV Show

- Batman TV Series Remake with Nolan Style

JorLBola - 9/16/2012, 2:50 PM
Nightwing seems a pretty good idea but not just him but Batman too. since when we haven‘t seen a live actiontv series?? Since Adam west?
sameoldthing - 9/16/2012, 3:04 PM
Have a superhero team get a tv series so we get many characters instead of one.

If it's a series then time can be developed on each one unlike a movie that just jams them in & never has the time to really showcase who they are & what they can do.
Action - 9/16/2012, 3:40 PM
@DarkGrifter-I like that idea. Suicide squad kicks ass!
TheSoulEater - 9/16/2012, 4:46 PM
Call the show BLUDHAVEN
Jer3miah - 9/16/2012, 5:08 PM
Nightwing would be a great character to see in Bludhaven. Another great character would be Red Hood, though. Showing his fall from grace, his descent into madness, and then his slow approach to being an anti hero would be great as a series.

A tormented hero is always deep to watch on the big screen... and the little one, lol.
lokibane2012 - 9/16/2012, 6:14 PM
NO!

Nightwing's my favorite superhero and I don't want to see him get the faggy Smallville/Arrow treatment. I'd rather never see Nightwing live-action, than watch him get raped like that.
Growler - 9/16/2012, 6:44 PM
I'd love to see Nightwing in his own show but I'd also liked to see his relationship with a crippled Babs Gordon as she co-ordinates the Birds of Prey.

Good, complex drama could ensue, along with hot chicks kicking serious ass.

Can't you just smell the win?
Batcowliveson - 9/16/2012, 7:21 PM
THIS WOULD BE GREAT.
Nightwing127 - 9/16/2012, 8:02 PM
Taylor Kitsch would be a perfect Nightwing. For a movie though and all he has to do is grow his hair again and dye it black. He has the acting ability for it and the athletic body already.

LegacyFilms - 9/17/2012, 2:24 AM
I would definitely look forward to seeing that and never missing an episode.
WallyWestNAM - 9/17/2012, 3:08 AM
Nightwing would be great now that I think about it. Keep the show in BludHaven, ntroduce Jason as a main protagonist later in the series, keep Oracle in a regular supporting role, there would be a lot of potential to adapt some of the most compelling arcs from the comics in flashback episodes: Dick's falling out with Bruce, some of his adventures traveling the world, Jason's fall and rebirth. As long as we keep the Batman cameos to a minimum.
Nightmare7 - 9/17/2012, 5:02 AM
I think Nightwing would be really good,as for someone else what happened with the possible Deadman show with Del toro producing/directing?anyone know because that would be really cool.
BIGBMH - 9/17/2012, 6:44 AM
It would be difficult to pull off, but I would watch it.
Shadowmaster35 - 9/17/2012, 7:40 AM
I would love to see a nightwing show. i also think that an Outsiders show with him leading the team would be bomb too.
TheFox - 9/17/2012, 12:57 PM
I will never understand why anyone likes Nightwing. He's just about the most generic vigilante superhero there is. I mean, sure, he USED to be Robin, which means he USED to be interesting because he USED to work with Batman, but Dick Grayson is such a generic "good guy" that I just can't stomach reading about him on his own. He was just about the least interesting of all the Robins, in my opinion (I was raised on Tim Drake, and he'll always be the best to me), and the whole persona of "Nightwing" is basically just "Batman Lite"-- a Dark Knight without any of Batman's most defining attributes. No drive towards vengeance. No fun dual-identity charades. No cape and cowl. No personality.

I'm not opposed to the idea of Dick Grayson moving on after working with Batman to do his own thing, but did his "own thing" have to be so damned dull?

My choices fro a DC tv show

1. Nightwing
I think Nightwing could be very succesfull on TV. Deathstroke and Red Hood would be the main villains
2.Red Hood and the Outlaws
This show would follow the comic. Maybe i'd replace star fire with someone cheaper, but still bad @$$ like Huntress or Artemis
3.Gotham Knights
This would be a series about Batman and his sidekicks. It would start off with Batman a few years into his career and he adopts Dick Grayson. Dick becomes robin. You watch the Robins and bat girls come and go.I would want them to go all the way to Damian.
4.Wonder Woman
I think her TV show should follow the Wonder Woman Odyssey storyline. I think that would work well with the modern standard for superheroes on the big or small screen.
5Jonah Hex
I think this show could wipe away the sh*t stain left on everyone's eyes when they saw the movie. It would be cool to see him hunt down criminals in a western Gotham. Maybe follow the new 52 storyline.
