Nice write up bro. I would really like to see all of these characters on the big screen. However, since it's WB we are talking about, I remain skeptical

If MoS isn't the start of a shared universe, then I don't see DC/WB competing with the MCU for a long time. I know that they might do the "2 supermen and batmen" thing for different series but that would just be confusing to the fans. It would be a huge mistake by DC/WB to not kick-start it w/ MoS

While I have little hope for another new version of Superman, I do think now that Nolan's Batman run has ended, a JL movie is easier to produce... if Superman succeeds. If Supers bombs, or even has only moderate success, WB/DC will crawl back into their shells again, possibly even admit defeat. And that would be wrong, and I say that as a Marvel loyalist.

A JL movie may be the way to go, to gather the big five, forget about the failures of GL and WW, pull them together and just run with it. You could even have others involved, doing clean up duties against whatever threat they face. I see the Flash being the impetus that brings them together.

Success or no with Supes, just do it. The potential outweighs the risk.

I hope WB moves forward with The Flash movie. Flash is one of my favorite characters on DC comics. I heard they are working on the script. Casting choice for Barry Allen? Jensen Ackles or Chris Pine. And I hope WB DOES NOT!!! cast Armie Hammer as Batman!!! Karl Urban or Jake Gyllenhaal as Batman.

It would be nice if we actually got a semi-faithful adaptation of an actual story from the comic books. I mean, Nolan definitely incorporated many elements into his amazing trilogy, but that's still its own thing. I didn't get the idea from watching it that I was watching a comic book come to life. When I watched The Avengers... I got that feeling... and I really enjoyed the hell out of it.

If Star Wars episode VII is decent then it will eat the JLA and the Avengers for brekkie.

I don't think we will hear anything "official" about JL until MOS comes out & does well both critically and financially.

In agreement with PantherX and cipher, can't really take anything too serious without an official WB announcement.

Whether GL made it's money back is HIGHLY debatable- that would require some creative accounting.

Agreed- provided the OT cast is back

Obviously a delusional SW fanboy, Name. SW would have to be the best movie ever made and released in competition with the Avengers II to do damage to its box office... and that's not happening because Disney isn't going to release one against the other. Such a silly thing to say.

Phantom menace adjusted for inflation took more than Avengers and that was a steaming pile. If the new Star Wars movie is good and gets good word of mouth and reviews add in 3d money. Star Wars will take f**k tons of cash simple arithmetic.

I for one would prefer GDT's Heaven Sent over any of the aforementioned movies.
Wanna see those, too, but that potential Heaven Sent sounds frakking epic.

I believe STARWARS will make more money than either Avengers 2 and JLA..
the level of anticipation for a new STARWARS is probably even higher than it was before REVENGE OF THE SITH.
Everybody is talking about it and its not due until 2 and a half years..

Dammit! I'm getting sick of Batman movies! Give it a break, WB. You have tons of other characters that can have their own successful movie.

There have been many different people who have taken a crack at the script including Marc Guggenhime who told us on the Cadmus Podcast, "I really really hope The Flash movie sees the light of day, because I'm really quite proud of it. I think it was the right take for the character. It has a lot of the same elements that people are responding to in Arrow. The nice things about Screenplays is they don't age."

The minute i read 'Arrow', i started worrying for this movie. GOD I SWEAR IF A FLASH MOVIE IS MADE, DC, WB WHOEVER THE HELL, BETTER NOT [frick] IT UP! DC YOU NEED HELP, FOR YOURS AND ALL OUR SAKES GET THE RIGHT KIND!

I don't see what's so difficult about doing flash, the tv show was, good for the time period, the suit was advanced for that time especially for a TV show, so take that formula and update it, make it relate able for today's audience, as much of a Marvel fan as I am I have always been a fan of flash, even the wonder twins could work if done right.

Why would WB rehire the writers from the GL script to write a second GL script when the first was such dogshite?
