SDCC '13: What Was The Biggest Movie News Revealed At SDCC Yesterday? SDCC '13: What Was The Biggest Movie News Revealed At SDCC Yesterday?

What movie news from yesterday's SDCC made you the most excited as a fanboy or fangirl? The confirmation of a Superman/Batman film in 2015? Ultron revealed to be the main villain in Avengers: Age of Ultron? Or footage descriptions for X: DOFP, TASM 2, GOTG, CA: TWS or Thor: TDW?

Lots of exciting news was announced at yesterday's SDCC which makes this one of the best SDCC of recent memory, in my opinion. On the film side, there were a lot of exciting revelations and developments but superheroes dominated the discussion towards the latter part of the day. Lots of exciting news and revelations were made concerning X-Men: Days of Future Past, a Man of Steel sequel, an Avengers sequel titled Avengers: Age of Ultron, and footage reveals for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy. Out of all these impressive stories, which do you feel was the biggest news to emerge from the biggest day of San Diego Comic-Con?

First. World's Finest!

World's Finest curbstomped everything else.
Now I love Green Lantern space-epics, but since i didn't get that from the movie 2 years ago, I'm looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy from Marvel. It looks VERY cool and interesting. However, nothing else from Marvel's camp is remotely interesting this year. We'll get trailers for Cap 2 and Thor 2 soon, and we've seen enough set pics to know what the characters look like so not much of a mystery there.

ultron, the sentinels, electro, GOTG, Cap 2, Thor 2... anything that showed more material than just an improvised logo.

not really that much of a surprise that DC and Warner are going to keep milking the same two cows on the big screen...

WORLDS FINEST and TASM2

World's Finest = $2 Billion, predicting it right now. Grif will probably screenshot this and paste it in 2015.

Ultron and everything related to Cap and GOTG had me in tears of pure joy last night.

Not excited for a World's Finest in the least but realistically, it was the biggest news.

No idea why FOX even bothered showing up.

Worlds Finest totally! DOFP is my most anticipated at the moment but once we get some more info and images from WF I think it could top Avengers.

Since this is a new Batman I cannot wait to see the Snyder Batman costume. I'm sick of the all black "real" stuff. Seeing that Frank Miller bat logo makes me think they could go with a gray suit and use some cool materials like The MOS suit.

best comic con news

1st the avengers age of ultron
2nd batman/superman team up announcement
3rd guardians of the galaxy footage
4th thor the dark world footage
5th captain america the winter soldier footage
6th x-men days of future past footage
7th the amazing spider-man 2 footage

batman/superman has potential but i was hoping to hear other characters getting movies i.e the flash, wonder woman, aquaman, green lantern reboot & justice league.

fingers crossed "worlds finest" doesn't feature shaky cam.

Worlds finest was a surprise but not as exciting as age of ultron

We seen superman/ batman so much where as ultron is a brand new character; with the possibility of vision

Man! You [frick]er's are gonna make me choose? LOL

It's no surprise Marvel took over SDCC. I don't know how, but man, they sure do know how to make the people go berserk at SDCC. I was more than losing my shit over World's Finest. Then the X-Men DOFP details sounded cool, especially the hinting of Wolvie's costume! Then Thor, then Cap (Most anticipated), then GOTG, then Age of Ultron. I can clearly say I was sooooooo not expecting that! Which confirmed Diesel as Vision.

I'm gonna have to go with Age of Ultron. Cap 2 is a close second, then World's Finest, etc. Out of them all, TASM2 barely made a peep at SDCC'13.

But make no mistake, if there is one thing that is for damn sure, it's that after all those nerdgasms I am STILL experiencing, I am dry as a bone, shooting nothing but puffs of air over here...

Oh. Yeah, since no one has done it yet, and that we most likely won't get an official logo for quite some time, I did this. Not much, but gives us an idea.

DC fans only get good superman or batman movies now they combine them..

Not trying to bash but DC really needs to start venturing to other characters and get some variety
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 7/21/2013, 5:30 AM
@Giznad, Well in his interview with that geeky MTV guy he let it slip and even called out both the creators of Vision from comic universes, 616 and Ultimates so... Plus with the Title card for Avengers 2... It's safe to assume. We'll see end of July.

And during the DOFP panel, Hugh said he was walking around in his "Wolverine Costume" and only got a response from one fan... Lotta mystery surrounding this.

TheGambitFreak - 7/21/2013, 5:31 AM
Yes, Godzilla sounds amazing! I've been re-watching all of the Toho films in excitement. Cannot wait!

Why is it that the X-Men franchise ALWAYS tries to look like its the least comic book oriented. All I see when I look at their lineup of "mutants" are a bunch dudes in leather.

Superman/Batman...without question. Everything is small potatoes next to the two behemoths.

General Audience member: "What do I want to watch, Age of Ultron or Superman/Batman?"

No [frick]ing brainer...

1. Superman/Batman
2. Xmen DOFP
3. Spiderman 2
4. Godzilla
5. The rest

@GambitFreak, cool. Seriously, if Wolvie came out in full costume, that might've brought the whole house down. That's what I'm looking forward to the most. Just put him in that damn costume.
RamonSuarez

Anyways, the Ultron reveal was the biggest news. Since Avengers we've been trying to guess who the main villain for its sequel would be. We ventured guesses into characters from Thanos to Kang to Masters of Evil to Korvac to Ultron. Now we have our answer and it opens up a whole new range of possibilities.

Batman/Superman news was the biggest but Marvels Conference was more entertaining.
