CBM Fight Club RULES!!!

-NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST. In choosing a winner base your vote on the most iconic interpretation of the character. The comment section is a great place for you to present why you think that character would win the fight.

-The fights does not need to be deathmatches, incapacitating the other fighter/s can be considered a win.

-Lopsided matches may occur (which happens regularly in the comics and movies). Fights may consist of individuals, duos or teams.

-Eligible fighters are characters who have adaptations in any form of comics AND movies.

The Goal of CBM FightClub is to encourage a healthy discussion between passionate like-minded individuals. It is an avenue for seasoned "geeks" to impart knowledge to "noobs" to the world of comicdom, by best describing characters through their powers and skills set. All comments are highly welcomed using the comment section, though we hold premium those who are able to respect other's opinions.

i imagine the deadpool/robin fight would be hilarious

I have a small beef with a few of the hypocrites on this site. First of all, people are CONSTANTLY complaining when Batman wins a fight against an overpowered opponent. Yet if Mr. Fantastic faces an overpowered opponent, he WINS because he's the smartest in the Marvel Universe and can build anything to stop anyone! Well, Batman is the smartest in the DC Universe, so for all we know Batman is actually smarter than Reed, even though there is no way to tell.

Basically, if you are going to gripe about Batman beating overpowered people, quit saying Reed would do the same. If you think Reed is smarter than Bats, that is an opinion, not a fact.
worldbreaker - 8/4/2012, 9:16 AM
"Well, Batman is the smartest in the DC Universe" a very popular belief with batman fans, but not true. he's the smartest HUMAN in DC. kryptonian minds are far beyond humans. and reed richards is beyond characters who's power is to be super intelligent. comparing batman's intellect to tony stark's would be more fitting. mr fantasic is on a different level. batman keeps a list of everyone's weaknesses, reed just knows off the top of head

Deadpool vs Robin: I'm not a fan of Deadpool at all (he belongs in a cartoon, not a comic book, IMO) but yeah, he'd take this one.

Daredevil vs Green Arrow: DD can knock bullets out of the air with his billy club. I don't see him having a problem with an arrow. This would come down to a hand-to-hand fight, in which case the insanely skilled DD would take GA apart. I almost feel bad for the guy, his ass would be kicked so thoroughly.

Mr. Fantastic vs Aquaman: As much as I'm digging the New 52 Aquaman, I have to give this to Mr. Fantastic. His elastic body makes him capable of surviving all kinds of damage; even if this fight were underwater, Reed could expand his lungs to hold more air so he wouldn't drown. And we've seen him subdue MUCH stronger opponents by wrapping himself around them like some crazy Japanese rope trap. So Richards isn't just a super-genius; he's also a solid tactician with a lot of experience and it's almost impossible to injure him, as well. Even without prep time I can't visualize a scenario where he'd lose this fight.
worldbreaker - 8/4/2012, 11:36 AM
if you mean "fanboy" as in: someone who actually reads comicbooks. sorry if we cant all hate on marvel together

it only sounds like bullshit if you don't read F4 comics
worldbreaker - 8/4/2012, 11:44 AM
maybe if you could offer something constructive to the conversation instead of name calling you might enlighten us how that fight goes down any other way than how the people that actually rationalized their arguments predicted....so in other words: neener-neener :p
worldbreaker - 8/4/2012, 11:51 AM
nothing personal GuardianAngel. I annoy myself with how much thought i put into these. i can assure you the brand of comic the character comes from isn't a strength or weakness in my perspective. unless it's the stupid "magic in DC being stronger than in Marvel" thing. in that case i'm forced to side with DC because it was actually said in a cross-over
worldbreaker - 8/4/2012, 12:03 PM
loudlon- deadpool is ruined by a lot of writers. the deadpool that is aware he's a comicbook character and speaks to his 2 separate narrative voices is difficult to write but when done correctly it's a thing of beauty...unless that's just not your thing...it happens.

deadpool is aware that he is a ripoff of deathstroke. and he has preferences to who he is drawn by. that is hilarious to me
RAZE - 8/4/2012, 1:07 PM
If we are talking Dick Grayson Robin, I would say he is a better fighter than Deadpool, but Deadpool's regenerative powers will win him the day.

DD is a beast, cant see him losing so someone with no superpowers no matter how skilled.

Honestly shocked ppl would compare Reed Richards intelligence with Batman's. I like Batman more then all the F4 but thats silly, Batman is a genius but uses he intelligence in more of a detective skills way and at times chemistry. Reed is makes ppl like Charles Xavier and Tony Stark look like idiots, just on a different level.

@LoudLon
How would u rank the following on pure hand-to-hand combat?
Cap
Batman
Nightwing
DareDevil
IronFist
worldbreaker - 8/4/2012, 1:56 PM
hmmmmmmm i believe i'm going to have to disagree on deadpool's fighting ability RAZE. deadpool has bested cap, wolverine, spiderman, daredevil and taskmaster before. and he briefly made the entire west coast avengers look like amateurs until cap broke up the fight. part of deadpool's character is that he is underrated and underestimated by most other characters. cap would've made him an avenger if wade was mentally stable

although it's painfully obvious at this point, i admit if i had to pick a favorite character it would be deadpool.

what a twist!
LoudLon - 8/4/2012, 5:00 PM
@Raze -- ranking those five fighters:

1. Captain America - the single best hand-to-hand fighter in the entire MU. As he's the pinnacle of human physical ability, there is no human fighter who will ever be as fast or strong as him, and the fact that his brain also operates at peak human efficiency (his body isn't the only thing which benefited from the SSS) is why he was able to legitimately master so many different styles of martial arts. Cap's the ultimate human bad-ass for a reason. The dude's a human Sherman tank.

2. Iron Fist - firstly, let me say that I actually think DD has more overall skill. Like IF, DD is a martial artist, but he's also an acrobat, pugilist, wrestler, and street-fighter. But I still place IF above him because IF has something which DD doesn't -- the ability to temporarily become superhuman with his chi power. I think if the two fought, DD would have the upper hand only until IF broke out the iron fist itself.

3. DD - in pure fighting ability I'd place him second to only Captain America, but despite his senses, he is still only human and while he's capable of holding his own against superpowered opponents, there are some powers his skills aren't going to help him overcome. Still, I think if you put him up against any human fighter save for Cap or IF, he'll come out on top.

4. Batman -- master of, what was it, 127 forms of martial arts? Impossible. Even in comic book terms. There are legitimate masters in the world who didn't earn their titles until they were old men, and that's specializing in ONE style for their entire lives. Which is why I think the word "master" is thrown around a bit too thriftily when it comes to Bats. And if we accept what every writer insists, that Batman is only a man with no powers at all, he'd have to have lived 127 lifetimes to master all that stuff. Which is why I tend to usually compare him to someone like DD - which is to say he's ridiculously skilled, with a style which incorporates various martial arts he's picked up certain moves from and his own athletic/acrobatic ability. He may be the best hand-to-hand human fighter in DC, but Cap, DD and IF all have something special that would give them an edge over him. I like Bats, don't get me wrong, but I think fourth on this list is pretty accurate.

5. Nightwing: Batman may have taught Nightwing everything he knows, but Batman didn't teach him everything BATMAN knows. So while he's far above average as a human fighter, he's still not at the level of DD, Bats or Iron Fist, and, like the others, will NEVER be at the level of Captain America.

My two cents, and I'm sure some dick will make it a point to ream me over it LOL
comiccow6 - 8/4/2012, 6:33 PM
^^What? No way Batman is behind three people! Haha, just kidding, I agree Bats is way overrated. Cap and Daredevil have, and always will be, my favorite Marvel heroes.
RAZE - 8/4/2012, 8:28 PM

@LoudLon
Thx alot, man :)

That is close to what I thought although I wasnt very familiar with Ironfist.
rottencotten - 8/29/2012, 10:58 AM
I have to disagree just for debate with Loud...
Mine would be, from that list

Batman
Nightwing
Dare Devil
Iron Fist
Captain America

Like us Batman fanboys, Cap fanboys are just as ridiculous...

I have to agree with the majority here except I think Green Arrow could get a KO on Matt...I believe he could use multiple sound emitters attached to his arrow, so Matt would think multiple are flying at him, instead of only a few, then use a net-arrow along with them, trap him, and knock him out...
