VIDEO GAMES: First Pre-Alpha Screenshots from Godzilla PS3 Game Revealed
After the successful reboot of the Kaiju film series by Gareth Edwards, a new video game starring Godzilla was announced for the end of this year. Now, the first set of screenshots from the PlayStation 3 title have been released. Come check them out!
A few days ago, we learned that a Godzilla video game was in development for the PlayStation 3 console by Namco Bandai, to capitalize on the success of Gareth Edwards' film reboot of the property. Now, the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu has revealed the first batch of screenshots from the game. The description of the game as provided by the magazine reads: "In the action title, you’ll be able to take down buildings by using Godzilla’s kicks and tail blows. Godzilla himself has been given a great deal of care, as Famitsu notes that the team were inspired by the S.H.MonsterArts figures."
As well, multiple different versions of the titular monster will be allegedly available for play, including a skin based on the design from the 2014 film. No word has yet been given as to whether other monsters will be playable. The game is apparently at 40% completion, so keep that in mind while viewing the screenshots.
The game still does not have a confirmed release date or title, but is expected to launch in the winter of 2014.
