Are Christian Bale's Days as Batman Numbered?

Rumors flying around the Internet say Sam Worthington will replace potty-mouthed actor Christian Bale as Batman/Bruce Wayne?
Several news sites are spreading the story that Bale may lose out his role to his Terminator Salvation co-star.

Worthington's star is on the rise with his role in Terminator Salvation and his upcoming role in James Cameron's Avatar.

Gossip suggests that Bale's blow-up on the Terminator set may have damaged his credibility as Batman, and that they may be looking for a replacement for the star of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Of course, Bale is already contractually committed to doing a third Batman film, and few people within the film industry consider Bale's outburst on set to be anything more than the result of a tense moment of filmmaking. Terminator Salvation director, McG, said at the New York Comic Con that Bale and the unfortunate DP who was the target of his rant were back working together less than an hour after the infamous incident occurred.

Furthermore, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have both been great successes for Warner Brothers, and Bale's portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman has been a major part of that. So, it seems unlikely that the studio would be looking to replace him anytime soon.

Complete and utter BOUCHE!!!!

There's no way they're gonna replace Bale for Worthington JUST because they're in the same movie. If any thing, I'm hoping Worthington plays captain america

In other words........DON"T REPLACE HIM, PLEASE!!!!

Sounds like BS to me. But if this does happen, it will be "Batman Forever"/"Batman and Robin" all over again.

Change cast once... Shame on you.

Change cast twice... Still shame on you.

If they replace Bale for a 3rd film, no bullshit, I'll skip the theater experience for it and wait for DVD. I did the same when they recast Frank Castle in Punisher: Warzone, and I'll do it for this movie. No bullshit.

I don't think they will. He signed on for three more movies after the success of the first movie.

Does anyone ever report legitimate stories? I mean, is there anything serious to say about an upcoming Batman sequel?

Bale signed a 4 movie contract but stated he would break the contract if they decide to bring in Robin.
