Bryan Singer returns to the X-Men franchise by directing the upcoming sequel of X-Men: First Class. In this interview with Digital Spy he said that he has a certain style when he approaches the X-men films, and that X-Men: Days of Future Past will be a larger canvas that has an enormous cast and there are aspects we haven't seen in X-Men films, and Magneto. Actor James McAvoy who reprises his role as Charles Xavier in the film X-Men: Days of Future Past reveals that he doesn't know if he will lose his hair in the upcoming sequel and that his character is going through a lot of stuff in this movie.

Bryan Singer on the sci-fi aspects in X-Men: Days of Future Past and what he will bring

"Yeah, yeah, you know I have a certain style when I approach X-Men films, this one is going to be a much larger canvas it takes place to multiple times and is this enormous cast and is also other technologies and stuff, there some science fiction aspects to it that we haven't seen yet in X-Men, in X-Men films." "But you know I'll probably bring a bit of my own tone, my old-school tone to this one, but very excited about it."

James McAvoy on Charles Xavier in X-Men: Days of Future Past

"I don't know yet to be honest with you, I'm going to find out soon." "I'm sorry I've got no answer for you right now." "It's gonna be a film, which Charles has to go through a lot heavy stuff and I think probably you pass through the crucible and this movie you know."

On how Bryan Singer approaches Magneto in X-Men: Days of Future Past

"Because I have both, Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender in the picture, you'll deal with both sides of that point of view and it really explores the relationship between Xavier and Magneto and the evolution of that relationship." "Where it came from and where it's going."

@LEVITKUZ the usual suspects? won 2 oscars and is considered one of the best crime movies ever made. So yeah he can't be that much of a hack like you claim. He is one of the reasons that we have the CBM boom we have today. And by the way making a billion dollars doesn't make a movie good

Just once I'd like to come onto an X-Men article and not feel like I'm surrounded by a bunch of 4th graders.

I think Singer, who has certainly made many mistakes in his films (including the X flicks), is a director who DOES learn from his mistakes.

With that in mind, perhaps he'll make a strong picture here.

I think when LEVITIKUZ was given the best new user award, his head started getting a little big so he started posting really strong opinions on every article and expecting everyone to agree with him.

This is going to be an entertaining and Gloria mess of a movie, and like all of the previous ones will have you excited up until the novelty wears off and you're asking yourself what the [frick] happened - that was a load of misinterpretation bullshit rammed into 90 minutes for the sake of money. Fox are better off putting all their worth into a superepic TV series. A combination of Heroes and the 90s animated X-Men series. That way you can have multiple characters, and still have great actors play lead, constant roles. A series based around James McAvoy's Prof. X. even. That way popular characters can come and go with spin-off movies, while not so popular characters retain a core. Beast wouldn't have a spin-off, Gambit would. Cyclops wouldn't need one, Wolverine would be entitled to one, etc, etc. Each season could be a saga, with subsagas, if you will, too. For instance the Phoenix, and Apocalypse sagas, etc, could be better portrayed in their own full seasons as opposed to one movie. Characters appearing in movies would have back stories already being told, and vice-versa. If I had my way, in a universe where Marvel owns it's own entire universe, X-Men, Daredevil, Power Man, and Hawkeye would have their own TV series. Although DC beat Marvel to that with Arrow. So perhaps reinventing the Alias type show with Black Widow, and maybe Hawkeye would be entertaining. They're S.H.I.E.L.D.'s super spies, and could give intel on future Avengers' villains. I'm babbling... But what I'm saying really is that TV series should be embraced more.

Hmmm. Who knows more about making a good film? Bryan Singer, Oscar winning director and writer of several movies, or some little internet troll?
NoJobBOB - 3/11/2013, 2:44 PM
I don't really care for Singer but Usual Suspects was boss.

Im still not sure if this movie will be awesome or a dud. Im waiting to actually see it first.
