The Lone Ranger will be released in theaters July 3, 2013. The film is being directed by Gore Verbinski and stars Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Tonto. Also starring in the movie: Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper and Timothy Hutton.

They really missed the boat on casting and costume of the Ranger himself.
....and Tonto's bird is just cringe worthy.
This won't be a trilogy that's for sure.

The only fictional character that handle a big ol bird hanging off his person and make it look cool is Dredd and he's far more deserving of a bigger budget and trilogy than these two putzes.

Is anyone looking forward to this movie? Much less, want it? People ask me why I'm so exuberant towards CBM's, I always reply, "Because I love comic books, superheroes and movies, and seeing all of those things mixed together is something truly uncanny." But I realize now it's because most movies now suck spotted dick. Excluding Looper and other great cinematic, orgasmic films of the sort.

Armand Douglas "Armie" Hammer is the son of Michael Armand Hammer who is the son of Armand Hammer.

I'm excited for Lone Ranger.

I think it's going to be a big success, but I don't see it getting sequels. It'll do well and Depp is good with Verbinski.

Aside from Pirates 3, Verbinski's not made a bad film. And even THAT movie wasn't fantastic as much as it was a tired franchise.

whats with the hate!? I think this movie has a lot of promise! I know people are saying this is the next john carter but that never looked good.( I thought it was okay so i would give it about 7.5 out of 10). But this is looking great! If i see a trailer, i willl make my judgement then but seriuosly this movie could be fantastic!

I try to never pre-judge a film before even seeing it. However, this is looking like a complete and utter failure in every way, damn them.
