loved the first episode of the new series,very clever using the same cast but in different roles.

Executive producer Ryan Murphy has said that he was very influenced by the '60s soap Dark Shadows, and on that show the cast would often be featured in different time periods or parallel worlds as different characters. It's very intriguing that Murphy is taking that kind of approach with AHS.
